I can only assume the original post was deleted and it seems as though I have subsequently been blocked, (my original response has been embedded below for context). I'm not surprised and quite frankly, rather disappointed, but from what I've heard about the backlash, I'd like to hope this means the matter is put to bed and lessons were learnt.

In doing so, I want to stress that any harassment against the original poster should NOT be tolerated.

The point of calling it out was to recognise that this kind of rhetoric was bullying and insulting. Whether it was intentional or not. Especially when you directly single one person out.

Using the personal experiences of an artist to try and justify contentious fan discourse is also incredibly narrow-minded and very dismissive of the blog post's original purpose.

Let's not stoop to this behaviour. Set an example and rise above it. Be mindful of how you interact and think before you speak. Social media is not a empty void where what we say does no damage or has no consequences. If you treat it like one, you learn the hard way by the boat load. We all have a responsibility with our platforms.

If the OP does somehow find this post - You are a very talented artist and creative and wish you well in all your endeavours. Genuinely. It saddens me that this is our first interaction, but I also hope you will grow from this. I took the post very personally. Both as a former crew member of SMG4 and also as a close friend of Starteas. It was unwarranted. I hope if our paths cross again it will be on better terms.

you’ve heard it before but I’ll say it again.

This is a very different kind of post and I don’t usually like to get very political on social media, but things must be said:

1)     All Lives Matter is true, but we need to boost Black Lives Matter because it’s a statement. We wouldn’t even need to have this debate if everyone was treated equally in the first place. It’s evident that our society does not treat every human being the same. People are at different levels of risk. Yes, everyone’s life matters but if you have not experienced any set back, violence, or cruelty because of your skin color then you need to focus on the people that have.

2)     If you aren’t angry about the situation happening right now. You are privileged. Plain and simple. You may never truly understand what it means to be oppressed, but you can try to learn. Staying oblivious will be your downfall, so please don’t bring society down along with you due to ignorance.

3)     Not all cops are bad. Yes, there are many corrupt police officers and law enforcement officials but not all of them are itching to harm others. That’s like saying all pit bulls are dangerous dogs. The breed does not define the individual. There are some who intentionally create chaos at protests, but there are some who want to see the same change as you do. Don’t group them together.

There are many more things that can be said, but I want to keep it short and simple. Please do everything you can to help progress our society.

If you choose to participate in protests, please stay safe and do not put yourself in any position where a corrupt cop could conjure up an excuse for harming you. If you can’t or don’t feel comfortable going to a protest, sign petitions and boost significant posts! All actions help.

Do your part and be on the right side of change.

I want to try

I've seen so many negative things recently and it makes me so sad.

Why must some of us get so angry and want to hurt others.

We as humans...no as beings have a choice we can decide if we hurt others or if we talk things out. If we all collectively decided that violence isn't going to work then the world would be so much better right? Violence only ensures more violence.

Like if you punch someone then your gonna get punched back but if no one punched anyone then no one would be hurt.

I know this may not seem realistic to some but it could be. We have to start somewhere.

I want to live in a world where everyone tries to understand each other. Where we try to live amongst each other without so much hate. We all exist in this timeline together. Let's make it better together.

Idk if this is even understandable I'm not great with talking/texting but I'm tired of all the violence and hatred. I'd much rather be friends than enemies with others.

I want everyone to read. So everyone knows that they have a choice in how they act and how they treat others. I know not everyone is violent but there is some who need to read this.

I wasn't going to write this but if I didn't i wouldn't be trying to change anything. And I wouldn't be able to push that first domino.

I mean... I get it. Some of you might think we, fans of "kpop" only are fans because of their faces. We get it. We do. I won't deny when someone is handsome but there's so much more to that. I personally appreciate the art. Not just the music but the whole package. Visuals (as in MV with such high quality), instrumentals, their voices, their dance, etc. As a whole, a comeback, a relase of a single song can tell so many stories in different ways, as in a music video, a dance performance, a live stage in an awards show... I've always loved music, specially the type who can express the things I can't, The music that represents me, the music that inspires me. There's also music for just having fun. At the end, it's art. We shouln't be judging others on why they like something so much, and disrespect. We all need to know that we are all different human beings, with different points of view, experiences and we're all trying to get by. Art is a way to express one self. A way to cope, to escape. (Might be subjective to each person) Many of us use it to heal. And with that, we might find a deeper conection. We might find hope, friends, support. Being in a fandom is not a "teenanger hormonal thing" (That use of words also needs to stop). I'm 24 years old and I have found so much healing, support and beautiful human beings while being in them. We care about each other, we are here. It's a place where I feel welcomed. This whole thing is much bigger than just "a pretty face" I, as an artists, do find so much inspiration daily in korean music. Not only in lyrics but also in concepts, in fashion, in stages, in dance, in color schemes of music videos, etc. Music is so big, and sometimes, we judge things we don't understand or know. I wish we could all be more open minded and respectful. We won't like the same things, it's insane to even consider that. But we must respect each other likes. And stop trying to invalidate when someone says that certain "genre" of music has inspired them. Because we're all different and you never know where you'll have your inspiration from. Let's just stop invalidating other people tastes when they aren't the same as ours. Some people just try to mute or instantly put in their heads that they won't like kpop, why? because they think is only a place for young people to fangirl/boy over pretty boys/girls. And I feel sad about that. There's so much beautiful art in the world that we might miss for prejudge or for being afraid of what others might think of it. At the end, it's music, its art. Let's enjoy it, let's be inspired by it, lets let it help us heal, lets be better. Lets be more tolerant and kind.

The anons for some fav creators have been absolutely insane!!!! There's been so many different kinds of just hurtful or disrespectful and accusatory anons to so many people on here, and that's the thing these are people.

For the following people I'm about to tag lmk if you'd like me to remove this

@moonpascal was sent an anon calling them ancient! An awful thing to say for no reason!!! There's never any reason, no situation, that calls for any kind of inkling towards something someone does not control (appearances, background, and/or age for fuck sake) and frankly it's no one's business!!! For instance the age on someone's blog is there as respect to those blogs that ask for it, not for you to comment on! Any sort of personal life that someone lets you know of is because they want to, they don't need a response or anything like that sometimes they want to think that we're their friends, that y'all are their friends!!!! Some people choose to connect that way!!! Be respectful of what they choose to share because at the end of the day you have no right to comment on them like that.

@nottsangel consistently gets rude asks pertaining to asks especially (from what I've seen) where she gets accused of being rude or being a "bitch" because she doesn't get through all of her asks or because you dont think shes fair. She's said it before and so have countless others; People have lives outside of Tumblr, outside of their blogs, outside of this fandom!!!! They are not your robots, they are not here to cook up a fic or response whenever the hell you want, they do what they do because they enjoy it!!! Y'all love to bring up the fact that because her account has grown "she's changed" or that she's rude because of the popularity, but let's remember that YOU helped her account grow, because YOU loved the fics, the drabbles, all of it. But now because everyone else likes it, you're gonna hate on it???? It doesn't make sense!!

@lovemenotts my lord, seriously my love to you okay. This blog got one of the worst comments I've seen in so long, I started really loving this app because of how kind everyone seemed to be to each other and how they always supported each other. But oh my, this anon told them that they should stop writing one series and that another work was "cringey". What is the matter with people???!!! If you're not a fan of something move on. There is no reason that you have to comment something so hateful! For one thing if you don't like the writing or the story or whatever, maybe YOU should write what will live up to your standards. It takes a LOT of courage to be able to put your work out there, but it takes less than none to hide behind an anon ask. I hope you never get discouraged the way you have discouraged them. And sweetheart I'm on my way to read those exact fics<3

@thatdammchickennugget this is a complicated one to be fair. I think you of course have the right to how you feel, your hurt, and your sense of injustice. People on this app have their close knit friends and they have helped build each others blogs up. But that's the thing, theyve helped each other because they were there for each other. They didn't just start out best friends, they had to interact, they formed a bond. Now I'm not saying that you didn't try but that's all Tumblr is; relationships. The writer and the reader, the mutuals, the silent followers, the writer and the proof reader, the hype man, and so much more!!!! Being a new blog is scary especially with all of these other talented people, hell even I have a blog that does not do as well as all of these other ones. I don't get many reblogs, comments, Ive had only a few posts that have gotten more than 10 likes, I've had maybe 3 asks, but that's okay!!! I'm posting for the hell of it and those people that have liked are insanely appreciated!!!! You WILL have your moment with consistency and with positively interacting, it may not seem like it but you will. But that begs the question of whether you'll be satisfied when it evens out again you could be getting 100 likes, comments, reblogs or whatever and when that becomes the new normal will you be upset? Will that not be enough?

You're anon so of course I have no idea who you are but to literally anyone I WILL read your fic, it could take time because I'm on here way too much, but I will. I can proofread, offer input, I can hype you up, you can literally talk my ear off with whatever you want, and I will listen. Just like @thatdammchickennugget would've. Keep in mind that she, and most everyone cannot read minds. She couldn't have known about this about how you were feeling because you just expected her to.

Y'all these writers enjoy writing for y'all for now until these sort of asks pile up and they have to deal the constant negativity, the straight bullying. Your favorite writers, OUR favorite writers will be gone, because y'all can't keep the hate to yourselves.

I could picture them all as ugly or as beautiful as I want. All the characters have been described as beautiful so no one here has the advantage. Remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder…or the brain in this case since we have seen none of them. So let’s just drop this childish argument and move on.
