Let's Get Comfortable: Nathan and Caleb
Nathan couldn't help but be worried about Caleb.
When Nathan had been assigned a roommate, terror had immediately pierced through his heart. He had his own really horrible reasons for not wanting to have to share a room with anybody, but when Nate had met Caleb, it had been obvious he had similar reservations. He had seemed so nervous. Actually, he'd been just as nervous as Nathan, and that was what had him so concerned. Nobody could feel as awful as Nate did without truly having suffered.
Nathan was particularly concerned about Caleb this week. The other boy was off his game. He wasn't behaving as kindly or as agreeably as usual. Instead of letting it go, however, like a normal roommate would, Nathan decided to talk to Caleb straight on. Someone had to worry about him, someone had to care. From the way Caleb talked... Nate wasn't sure anyone did. If Nathan was the only one, then he would have to be sure he was enough.
"Caleb?" Nate eventually spoke up. He'd been lying in bed all day -faking sick- but he still cared about his best friend. "Are you doin' okay, buddy? Do you... do you wanna come here, maybe? Why don't you come here?" he asked gently, patting a spot on his bed. His own nervousness could be put aside for Caleb.
i know how to ask questions now lol
Looks like I should prepare myself for whats coming…
