I turned 28 today.

Not because it’s my birthday.

But because this is feeling older.

Shedding skin of a younger self that you don’t relate to the same as before.

Deciding what’s left and what’s to become.

I got off the phone with my mother today she said I've grown up so much. I replied I try, and she followed with don't try too hard.
