As long as we're celebrating Pride Month, I'm posting this a week early to celebrate my own pride in being cringe.
Levasseur is definitely among my favorite Basil Rathbone characters because, as if the man wasn't already beautiful, he totally killed it as a pirate with long wavy hair & a thin slutty mustache. (Dude looked like the male lead on the cover of a trashy romance novel & I am ALL HERE for it.) Not to mention Basil was a marvelous ham, always made for a really cunty villain, his sword fights majestic to witness, & how can you not love that cheesy fake French accent? Magnifique.
As such I've been working on a few more drawings of my take on Levasseur, reading the original "Captain Blood" novel by Rafael Sabatini, & jotting ideas for a self-indulgent fanfic about Lev costarring my all-purpose OC Riley Sawyer.
Because I am cringe & I am proud!
