For those following the U.S. election, a lot of news surrounding Democratic nominee for Vice President Tim Kaine has been about the fact that he’s fluent in Spanish. In this speech at a church in Miami, he speaks about his time as a missionary in Honduras, describes his faith and his political career, and tells a parable about the Good Samaritan.
Setting aside your views on Kaine or his running mate, it’s noteworthy for a national campaign nominee to deliver a speech in Spanish, which has never happened before! Give it a listen.

I like watching Spanish shows and videos about cooking and baking because the vocabulary is usually on my level, and you get to learn how to make something tasty!
This girl (youtuber Yuya) is really entertaining but speaks very, very quickly with a very high pitched voice. She is still perfectly understandable but will test your comprehension skills, which is great practice!
