being a scout meant that you hardly get any breaks from training and expeditions but you had a day off for once. you spent your day relaxing in your shared room with levi and reading a book, determined to finish it by the end of the day since you weren't sure when you were able to get another chance to have a day like this again. although it felt weird to you that you weren't on the training field like the rest of your comrades, it felt good to relax every once in a while.

it was a little bit past lunch time and you just got back to your bedroom to continue reading your book. you sat on the couch, eyes glancing through the words as you read silently. the door was suddenly opened, followed by someone walking in. you looked to see levi, a tired look in his eyes as he flopped himself on your lap.

"having a tiring day?" you asked, running a hand through his hair as levi nodded. you frowned slightly and quickly bookmarked your page, putting it on the coffee table in front of you.

"lunch doesn't end for another hour so you can take a nap if you-" you started but cut yourself off when you looked down to see levi with his eyes closed, his breathing steady. you giggled softly, leaning down and unbuckling the belts around his thighs and chest to give him a bit more breathing space before kissing his forehead.

you grabbed your book once again and continued to read, running your hand through levi's hair every now and then while he took a nap on your lap. someone knocked on the door a few minutes later as erwin walked in with paperworks in hand.

"y/n, can you tell levi that i need his signatures on these by-" erwin started but cut himself off when he looked up from the paper he was reading to see levi asleep on your lap. he mouthed a small 'oh' and quickly left the papers on the desk.

"i'll take care of his cadets, he can have the rest of the day off too" erwin whispered, smiling softly at you as you mouthed a 'thank you' before he left, closing the door behind him with a small click. for the rest of the afternoon, you let levi get the rest that he needed on your lap while you finished your book.

Ahh may I request a sequel to the tea garden? Where Levi gets the future he wants with the tea shop with reader and Casey. He married her after the war and now they have another baby on the way!

💜The Expanded Tea Garden💜

The kettle whistled on the stove, pulling Levi away from the window. He was always up early, a bad habit born of a lifetime of insomnia and military training. He slept better now that the war was over, but he was still up with the dawn most mornings.

He set the tea to steep, letting the scent of the brew relax him as it mixed with the buns that he had in the oven for breakfast. Recently Y/N had been wanting bread as soon as she woke up.

Removing the buns from the oven, he set them on the rack to cool. His internal timer went off and he removed the infuser from the tea pot and poured his first cup. He walked back to the window, his cup grasped in his fingers as he surveyed the work on the western side of the gardens.

Levi made a note to tell the workers to add an archway marking where the old fence used to be. He could see the rose vines that Y/N loved climbing up the arches as the years went by. And a bench needed to be added in that shaded corner of the new area, for them to sit and enjoy the cool breezes in summer.

He had purchased the house next door, the walls were coming down between the spaces, allowing for the vast expansion of the tea garden. The interior of the house was going to become their little tea shop. They now needed the space used in this house for a much better purpose than drying and storing tea leaves.

He heard the creak on the third stair from the bottom and his lips twisted in a quick smile as he turned to greet his wife. Y/N stepped down carefully from the last step, her large swollen belly making her movements a bit more cautious since no longer being able to see her feet.

He heard Casey bumbling around upstairs, the now 12 year old home for the holidays in the Cadet Corps. His old branch now exploring the lands beyond where the walls used to stand. She had wanted to follow in his footsteps, and Levi approved, there weren’t any Titans to take her from them.

He walked over to Y/N and gave her a kiss, his hand affectionately rubbing the stomach that held his child. He was terrified and excited about the idea of become a father. He had thought himself too old, too tired to take on the prospect of fatherhood when he was a bachelor. But Casey and Y/N had come into his life and changed that perception.

As soon as the war had been over, the Titans becomes a bad memory, Levi had asked Y/N to marry him. It hadn’t been easy, but he had transitioned into being a civilian. Relaxing into helping Y/N with her tea garden and adding in his ideas of a tea shop and incorporating her idea of a cafe to the shop.

Levi helped her into a chair at the table and set a bun in front of her before going over to pour her a cup of tea. He had started drinking the same light tea that she was, it was better for the baby not to drink a lot of the black tea he loved.

He sat and watched his wife as she sighed in appreciation as she bit into the hot bread. Y/N moaned as she took of the tea and listened as Levi talked through their plans for the expanded tea garden.
