I think I would have enjoyed the show a lot more if the Leviathans were much weirder about Castiel. I mean. Look at this:

How sick is that? It would have been great if we got a few more scenes like that.

Also sorry for the lack of ask answering, I’ve been a tad overwhelmed lately 😅 I really do appreciate the interest and the kind comments.

Anyway this one kind of had me getting back to my leviathans and kind of revisiting some of their designs. So I kind of went all out in redrawing them specifically for this size chart, because you’re right anon I like size charts too.

Apologies, these might look a bit crunchy and I’m also posting their standalones as well.

These are all the leviathan class fauna that have been recorded and classified by Ladder expeditions, so they’re only the known leviathans ;)

I’m starting off with the lightweights. They’re not nessecarily leviathans but just so you can actually see the human comparison on the page (I added alt text to these just in case)

Then we immediately move on up to the heavy hitter classes:

With Motley and the Procession I felt like they were too cutesy looking in my first posts about them here and here. So I kind of made them look more like a gastro-siphonophore beast of several different creatures.

Sunbreak Leviathans are one of the largest currently existing Leviathan class species on Planet 4546B. Close relatives to Sea Dragon Leviathans, the adult specimen can grow up to 150 meters from nose to tip of the tail.

Their bright red fins act as solar batteries - when food is scarce, this is a vital method of their survival. When fully energized, they become virtually invulnerable.

Their hide is more durable than the strongest alloy known to Architects, and their teeth can pierce through said alloy like paper. They can survive in any environments from the deepest trenches to volcanic areas, but their preferred habitat is the arctic waters. They also tend to temporarily migrate to warmer tropical waters to nurture their young.

Instead of tear-ducts, they have special glands that collect water from the ocean and can then shoot a superboiled stream like a laser projectile. The adult species can also shoot a freezing liquid that can create an entire iceberg in a minute.

Subject Kn-6-93 was created as a clone of Subject Cl-4-38. Many attempt at cloning the adult Sunbreak specimen eventually failed due to the complexity of his DNA. Then it was suggested to mix his DNA with that of another leviathan. For Subject Kn-6-93 the Emperor Leviathan's DNA was chosen as the second part of his genetic construct in hopes that he would eventually be able to produce Enzime 42. Unfortunately, after many tests, this feature did not seem to transfer into his organism from one of his progenitor.

In an unexpected turn of events, Subject Kn-6-93 has developed a tactile telekinetic ability which allowed him to manipulate water currents surrounding him to corral schools of fish closer. It is yet unknown what is the limit of such ability and how much the subject is aware of its full potential.

S4 sam: was saving lives with his power, was exercising and killing demons, was not aware that his actions would lead to the breaking of the final seal

S6 cas: was torturing monsters to get to purgatory, was killing his brothers and sisters, did destroy sam's mind wall, was aware of the risks of opening the gate to purgatory

S4 sam: was saving people and hunting things (the family business), was trying to make his curse into something good, was trying to stop the apocalypse and save the world

S6 cas: was trying to gain power so he could destroy his brothers and sisters enemies, was playing god and killing people, was willing to kill sam, dean and bobby if they didn't obey him

Basically what I'm trying to say is: they are not the same, and if you hate sam but love castiel you're a fucking hypocrite. I said what i said.
