I didn't study for a easy maths exam, here's what happened (NOT CLICKBAIT, IT WENT WRONG)

So, my exam results are coming up on the 9th, I obviously wont post them but I want to talk about my problems with it. Because of how the school system is structured after you have learnt the content of the course, permitted you pass your prelims you get to do a final exam. Your grade is entirely dependent on that one exam. Sometimes there’s assignments or folios that could be worth a percentage of your grade but there is always an exam. If you want to resit the subject because you’ve failed for whatever reason you have to take the course next year, relearn all the content from the previous year and sit the final exam. And if you screw that resit up, your fucked.

I’m particularly fucked with maths. No other subject just maths. I moved school when we were first learning the essential skills in maths, because of that move I was placed in the bottom class. I did get moved up class after a week because of my ability but I feel like I should have been moved up more. Obviously I wasn’t, I wouldn’t have this problem if I did. I was stuck at this level for two years learning way too easy maths even though I displayed enough skill to be moved up. I asked many times to be moved up to no avail. When I get to finally take the harder maths class I didn’t take it seriously. I was taking higher level classes so maths is the only one at the lowest level. It was again, too easy and because of that I didn’t do any studying. And because of that I think I failed my final exam when several topics came up what I didn’t know about.

So yeah, I’m getting results back on the 9th and I’m pretty sure I massively failed my maths exam and won’t be allowed to do the even harder maths. This wouldn’t be such a big deal, if I didn’t need this subject to apply for my uni course. I want to do a computing course but I need maths. But I failed maths. Its not like I’m shit at computing or anything, its literally just maths. I can even handle maths in a computing context fine.

I hate how this is my only roadblock to applying for my course. To add to the extra level of how fucked I am, this is my last year at school. This year someone would be applying to uni, apprenticeships, collages or jobs to go onto after school. I wish I could just repeat the year at school, but I can’t. I will be pushed out to do something at collage to build up to uni. That would be fine if they had my level of qualification at my local collage. But they don’t, because I live in an impoverished area what would rather teach skills for work instead of the qualifications needed to get into a degree course at a university. Fun. The nearest collage that runs the course that I need to get into uni is in the big city, an hour away. Not to mention it’s at night school only and I’ll have to pay for it.

That’s what will happen if I don’t get a B on the maths qualification the minimum of what I need to progress into the harder maths qualification. I’m so fucked and I fucking hate this.

Things to do/things to look forward to

when I'm finally home for break

Catch up and talk with my fam, both immediate and extended ( <3 <3 <3  I literally cannot wait)

Play with my dog !!! <3 

Go shopping for gifts with my mom and brother

Eat in-n-out, yoko, actually good boba, auntie anne's pretzels, costco pizza and samples, denny's for breakfast all the time, the food my mom and two grandmas cook so well, more ice cream, shaved snow, king's garden, jack in the box (guys there are no jack in the box-es in boston .. like what ?!?!?!), baguettes from lee's sandwiches, baskin robbins jamoca almond fudge ice cream, ice cream from thrifty's, tangsooyook from chomanwon, cafe geuneul, mandoorang, pho on saturdays, myungdong soondooboo, mcdonalds ice cream and fries, paul's place, gguhl dwejji, kentro's, and so much more that i can't think of but still  really want to eat.

Keep in mind to still eat kind of healthy regardless of all the cravings listed above (HAHA)

Bother my brother and ask him to teach me more chords on the guitar until he gets annoyed of me (hehe)

Fiddle with my camera some more

Clean out my laptop--photos and music i don't need all need to go to the trash

Drive...but not too much (HAHA)

Find someone who can hook it up with some cheap disneyland tickets so i can go and play and have fun at disneyland with whoever 

Watch all the korean dramas and variety shows that i have missed out on with my parents and brother

Bake brownies and cookies and make rice krispy treats with my brother while listening to some kenny g hehe

Use my mom's vitamix to make smoothies that are healthy and pretty and yummy and share them with the fam

Catch up with friends who reside in or go to school in California if they want to/if they choose to make time for me and vice versa

Celebrate Christmas with both my mom and dad's sides, help the fam host the one with my dad's side (tradition hehe) and possibly host the one's with my mom's side this year (whut whuttttt ?!)

Celebrate new year's day as usual--dad's side first, mom's side second, then chilllllin at home

Run/walk around the neighborhood

Go bowling with the cousins because we haven't bowled in what seems like forever

Go to the new nrb that opened up near home (yas so excited !!!)

Journal and have some time to just reflect on life and on my future and my goals and what i hope for

Go to costco and buy a book that looks interesting (b/c costco sells books for way cheaper than barnes) and finish at least one book over the break

Watch any movie that's coming out in theaters that looks like it'll be fun with the fam

Fall in love with a cafe

Continue with daily bible readings

Maybe go to the beach (?!?!?!?!)

I'm pretty sure this list is going to keep growing hehe.
