headcannon 1

bella has always liked kids. she loves when people bring their babies to games and she gets to hold them, getting them to giggle and smile at the camera for their parents, but recently, this hasn’t really felt like enough

✶ the two of you have been together for years now, and it’s only recently that she’s been practically been begging you for a baby. yes, you’ve discussed a little bit of marriage, but to her, having a baby seems more important. a mix of both of you? like fuck they would be so adorable

✶ you love watching bella with kids, with most of your friends with multiple, you’re practically surrounded by them at gatherings you throw with your friends, bella in absolute heaven. one of your best friends encourages the idea, telling you that the way bella plays with kids makes it seem like she would be a natural at handling one of her own

✶ eventually you give in and start the ivf process. no, the baby won’t be technically a mix of both of you, but it will be a mix of your personalities

✶ after months of waiting, you have a girl!

bella is such a girl mom. like she takes her position very seriously

✶ she’s constantly dressing your daughter up in bows and dresses, gushing over her and taking like a million pictures. her camera roll is practically just you and your daughter

even after games, bella’s immediately rushing over to the two of you, scooping her babies up

✶ the clock just buzzed, and bella’s already jogging over to you and your daughter, courtside per her order. the whole game, the toddler in your lap was gurgling about her mama on the court, smiling and cheering, trying to catch bella’s attention (which of course she gives, honestly she gets distracted looking at your baby). immediately, bella scoops her into her arms, hugging her tightly while she peppers kisses all over her daughter's soft forehead before wrapping an arm around you, pulling you in to give you a kiss

✶ now that she has a baby of her own, bella’s constantly showing your daughter off to all her teammates, scrolling through pictures of her daughter from her camera roll like every day.

What no one tells you about being LGBTQ is you have to come out again and again. Sometimes I think we think or coming out as a one time thing. But you have to keep coming out again and again. And sometimes it's easier than others. And sometimes someone says something so heteronormative about you that doesn't fit and you just don't say anything. And sometimes there are people you can't bring yourself to come out to. So this Pride month remember how brave you are everytime you are able to authentically be you. And know that the good people will always be there to support you.
