So I was literally in the middle of sketching out a stupid fucking meme for this scene and then the rest of the scene came rocketing at me and I had to stop and draw the serious part. And then Adrian opened his goddamn mouth and oops I'm laughing again. They're so fucking stupid I care about them so much. Liam's anguished face is really fun to draw, which I didn't expect, but probably should have. Adrian Edwards, light of my life, you are the LEAST reassuring person on the goddamn planet

Happy New Year everyone! Here is Liam as inspired by a bronze statue of Apollo from Pompeii. It is housed in the National Archaeological Museum in Naples, Italy. Fragments of the statue were first found in 1817 and 1818, and reconstructed by 1825; while our LADZ were living!

As we go into the new year, we’d like to extend our thanks to all of you! We deeply appreciate your support. May you have a year full of everything you’re hoping for. Can’t wait to share more Dandies! This project wouldn’t exist without you. 💙

😎 We're partway through Arc 2!

This is the linework for the full-color piece that I posted over on the @dandiesindanger account. If you haven't seen it already, I included many more close-ups in that version. ^^

One thing that I didn't share in the finished version is the AMAZING REFERENCE PHOTO/INSPIRATION. Some of you classic horror fans might recognize Peter Lorre, Vincent Price, Boris Karloff, and Basil Rathbone. Their dynamic in this photo was too good to pass up! (°♡∀♡)

Today Dandies in Danger celebrates its 5 year anniversary! What started as a game between friends has flourished into the podcast it is today because we decided to take a risk and record our adventures to share with the world.

Playing in a fantasy space together is so genuinely fun. We've enjoyed watching each other grow over the years, both as artists and as individuals. It’s an honor to be able to pass off each arc to the next storyteller and trust that they can capably lead us on a thrilling adventure and continue to add to the rich world of Dandies.

We are very lucky to have found a group of unique individuals whose talents meld together so well. This podcast takes a lot of hard work, and each of us throws our entire self into making sure Dandies is the best it possibly can be. It's a pleasure to have such reliable and understanding friends.

Hello all!

You may have noticed a bit of radio silence from Dandies recently 😅 We’re approaching finale territory in Arc 4 and have been working away to make sure the episodes are the best they can be.

Thank you everyone so much for your patience!! We can promise there are some very exciting moments on the way >:3c

Thinking about how happy Adrian was to take those ruby earrings from Catherine off of Liam's hands...

Side note I dunno how aware of his own gayness Liam actually is? He definitely knows that he isn't into women, but that doesn't automatically mean he recognizes his (outwardly very obvious) attraction to men.

I do appreciate the layers to Adrian taking those earrings though. It seems that he was looking at it from the perspective of "oh hell yeah shiny pretty things" which is a hell of a mood, but according to the Dealer those things held a lot of really complicated feelings for Liam. They represented something that was impossible for him to achieve but unacceptable for him to reject. They were intended as a gesture of love to be passed forward, but instead they got tangled up in emotional conflict. At the same time they prove that his family loves him and that he can never be the person they think he is. So Adrian, this person who is incredibly dear to Liam, almost definitely the closest person to him that isn't family, taking the earrings with such enthusiasm- it feels very poignant. It's not what Catherine intended, but all the important beats of her intent are still there. Liam does have what Catherine wants him to have; love and safety and acceptance. Just not in the way she expected him to.

Anyways the point of this mini-tangent is that if Liam is at all unaware of himself Adrian is rapidly pushing him directly into the nearest mirror (especially in arc 4) and I find that both very interesting and very funny

A while ago I wrote out a transcript of the first 2 scenes of Dandies in Danger for personal reference reasons and I wanted to throw out some highlights because I had too much fun trying to communicate the humour through text.

So that's your semi-regular dose of Dandies in Danger propaganda from me!
