I finally got around to posting the fourth chapter of my @spooksverse-asks Fantasy AU story to my ao3! Did not mean to take so long in uploading it lol. This chapter was originally posted in July of 2022. Finally, an appearance from Queen Eleanor!

As this is the last of the chapters I had already written, that means the next chapter will actually be new writing(well, more-or-less as I've been working on it for a while lol)! This chapter is the one where the boys finally confess, which means they will be an official couple in the next chapter!

DBDA AU

Here is what I have for the "Dead Boy Detectives" AU I mentioned in one of my previous posts! :D Like mentioned on that post, for now I just took my four main characters(Suzie, Shadow, Liam, and Kyle) and tried to translate them into the roles of the four main characters from the show, with some similarities but obvious differences to not be total copies. I did have some struggles with these initially, but I think I got my ideas to a good place right now. If you would like to see more from this AU or learn more about, please let me know! Otherwise, I hope you enjoy~

. Suzie: Crystal stand in. Still has her medium-related abilities, but was a full part of the popular kids at her school. A people-pleaser who had a hard time stopping her "friends" from being bullies, but found it hard to break away from them as she kept getting pulled into their bullying antics. Aside from those "friends", she has also had a few boyfriends who were also not the best of influences or good for her mental health. She also didn't receive the best attention at home, as she is the middle child and her parents didn't always know how to help her compared to her sisters. Not wanting to be forgotten or pushed aside, she did what she could to stand out and have more people on her side, even if said people weren't all that good to be around. Experiences some sort of corruption event at the hands of an ex that allows for her to temporarily forget her family and meet the others. First met the boys after she wanted answers for what she felt was a supernatural cause to her memory loss, before they later all met Shadow and came together as a group.

. Shadow: Niko stand in. A witch who is also a loner as she found it difficult finding or making friends with similar interests as her, or who didn't immediately outcast her as "weird". As her mother died when she was young, she found it hard to let others into her life as she shut most people out as part of not confronting her feelings. Originally born with black hair, but during a spell she was working on that went wrong and she ended up getting possessed, her hair gained blonde streaks afterwards. She was attending a normal public school before her possession, where afterwards she dropped out, both from feeling lethargy and that there was no point in her learning stuff she already had a somewhat good grasp on. Out of the others she first met Suzie, feeling drawn to her before she met the boys. After hearing about their mini detective agency, she wanted to join to contribute her witchcraft and pre-existing supernatural knowledge on potential cases.

. Liam: Edwin stand in. Died from an electrocution accident. In life he was very quiet and reserved, kept to himself as he attended to his private school studies instead of making friends, which he was never good at. While he always tried to present himself as calm, mature, and put-together, he has a lot of internal feelings he either tries to hide or is oblivious to. Cordial with most people, though he does have a low-key sassy and bitter side that sometimes peeps through when dealing with people he doesn't particularly like. Had an interest in the growing technology of the world, partially thanks to his parents' business, and planned to learn all he could to be a knowledge resource for all. At the same time, he also wanted to learn more about the time manipulation abilities he seemingly had, not knowing where they came from or why he had them. One day when he was walking near a factory he abandoned his better judgement to check it out, experiencing a fatal shock that ended up taking his life. Was stuck in a limbo-like state for many years, before he found himself back on the mortal plane. Soon after his return he met Kyle, who quickly became his best friend as they talked and related life experiences with each other.

. Kyle: Charles stand in. Died in a car accident. While he always had a good relationship with his mother growing up, his relationship with his other family members in comparison wasn't the best. His father was always busy with work, so he rarely had time to be there or be supportive of him. His older half-brother, while not around a lot, always was a big source for his anxiety as he always felt like he was walking on eggshells around him with his dismissiveness and hostility. Through his other struggles in life, he tried to remain positive by enjoying the things he loves, such as retro or obscure media and fashion trends, theater, and golf. While these things did bring a more positive outlet to his life, between some family and peer troubles, he was too riddled with anxiety one night and ended up in a devastating car crash. Not long after he came back as a ghost, he met Liam, who quickly became his best friend as they talked and related life experiences with each other. Both wanting to do better by others than how they were treated in life, they started up a mini detective agency, with Liam taking more of the "brains" role with his research and gadgets, and Kyle taking the "brawn" role with his impulsivity and more "physical" interests.

Pokémon Crossover AU

Been working on some Pokémon crossover AU ideas for all my stories lately, mostly starting out as just team ideas for my characters before I thought about how they would fit into the world of Pokémon. Since Spooksverse is the only one of my stories where the series would most likely exist(with all the characters in this post enjoying the franchise themselves), I went with these characters first in imagining what their roles would be like if they existed within it.

- Kyle

. Kyle primary works with normal types and mustelidae/rodent Pokémon, however he does dabble into having other types

. On his team he has Furret, Mienfoo, Quilava, Volbeat, Eevee, and Bidoof

. Has always had a fascination with Pokémon, so once he becomes of age he sets out on his journey to see as much 'mons as possible

. Doesn't really have a set goal in mind for his journey, mostly just wants to explore the different regions and do some research on all the mons he encounters

- Liam

. Liam primarily works with electric types and has a soft spot for dog Pokémon as he always wanted a real one growing up

. On his team he has Shinx, Yamper, Pachirisu, Chinchou, Raichu, and Snorlax

. Sets out on his journey once he becomes of age, as he knows he does not want to spend all his time indoors and wants to see more of the world(before he takes over his parents' company when he is older)

. Mostly does battles and research but along the way he meets Kyle, who despite not getting along with at first, they become friends quickly as they find out they have a lot in common and decide to become travel companions

- Shadow

. Shadow works with a few different types, mostly dark, ghost, and psychic

. On her team she has Mimikyu, Umbreon, Mismagius, Gothorita, Espurr, and Purrloin

. Primarily works as a witch but takes more of a researcher role, particularly for ghost types

. Has moved around a little bit for her parents' jobs but spends most of her time in Lavender Town, as it is where her family is originally from

- Suzie

. Suzie primarily works with fairy types

. On her team she has Jigglypuff, Alcremie, Fidough, Flutter Mane, Sylveon, and Kirlia

. Grew up in a family that focused on performing, and even though she was a performer for many years she eventually changed career paths

. Now she works as a fashion designer, designing for both trainers and Pokémon alike

- Mai

. Mai primarily works with both water and ice types

. On her team she has Dewgong, Lapras, Vaporeon, Luvdisc, Piplup, and Starmie

. Starts off as a coordinator as she wasn't really focused on taking over her parents' company, but after a while she changes career paths

. After being done as a coordinator, she focuses her interests into starting her own daycare for both human children and Pokémon

- Vera

. Vera primarily works with flying types and bird Pokémon

. On her team she has Pidgey, Noctowl, Starly, Pidove, Rowlet, and Dragonite

. Didn't know what she wanted to do in life at first, but does become a traveler as she would like to meet a lot of Pokémon

. Eventually on her journey she gains an interest in Pokémon breeding, and sets out to do that once she comes back home

- Korey

. Korey primarily works with both grass and bug types

. On his team he has Bulbasaur, Swadloon, Caterpie, Scyther, Oddish, and Flapple

. When he became of age he set out to become a top competitor/champion, wanting to make a big name for himself but he hasn't had much luck yet

. He does drag Niall along on his journey, as he didn't want his brother to stay inside his room all the time, much to Niall's disdain at first

- Niall

. Niall primarily works with steel types

. On his team he has Aron, Pawniard, Togedemaru, Meltan, Skamory, and Lucario

. Surprisingly was never big into Pokémon like the rest of his family, not that he outright hates them but just doesn't feel the same 'hype' for them

. Despite this he does eventually gain the mons that are on his team, and even if he did not want to get dragged into joining his brother on his journey, he does still participate in battles when they happen

Been playing around with(both versions) this super cute picrew the past couple of days, and I made some of my OCs in it! I first started with Mai before doing the Main Group. 

It was a super fun challenge to try and recreate them in it! I think the girls came out the best(Mai’s in particular is giving me inspiration for her redesign), but I also really love how Liam came out too. Also, since the tattoos section had a design that was full-body tattoos I decided to put them on Shadow, since she gets pretty heavily tattooed in the future, and I also gave her her future septum piercing too. Just something I wanted to share!

I also made a couple of the future timeline kiddos with it too, which will be a separate post, but I’ll probably also try making the Side Group with it too at some point.

Following after this chapter, this was the final part to the “Prom and Confessions” story I did. In this one Kyle gets dropped off at Liam’s house by Shadow, finally feeling ready to confess his feelings for his best friend. After they talk about other things for a little bit beforehand, Kyle decides to move the topic of conversation to the prom. They talk about it, and after Liam asks if he has any plans to go with anyone, Kyle finally tells him that it is him who he likes. To his pleasant surprise Liam tells him that he feels the same, and the two talk some more while feeling happy that they finally got those feelings off their chests.

This is also a story that I had considered possibly rewriting at some point, though I am still not sure if I should or not.

Another story for @spooksverse-asks from November 2018, that is sort of a prequel of sorts to the “Prom and Confessions” chaptered story I did. Something simple of the Main Group(Shadow, Suzie, Kyle, and Liam) hanging out at the mall together, just spending time together and also discussing their plans for the upcoming junior prom.
