Thought I would take advantage of Tumblr's polls to ask some questions I previously only asked on my DA! I think this would be good to at least see what the Tumblr side of my followers think!

Final results from this poll! This is the only recent poll across all my blogs where every option received a vote, which I am happy to see that every character here is enjoyed(considering these are my oldest OCs). But, it looks like Suzie won! :3
I've had vague thoughts for years about re-writing the @spooksverse-asks "Prom and Confessions" story I wrote back in January 2019, which for those who don't know or remember, it was basically a 3-chaptered story I wrote about how Kyle and Liam confessed their feelings for each other through Kyle asking Liam out to prom. It was my first chaptered story, and even if it's short, I still value it for the writing experience and practice it was. Obviously, both my writing style and experience has changed since then, as well as the characters and how I imagine them getting together playing out, so that has been a big part about why I've thought about re-writing it.
I've never been entirely sure how I would go about the re-write or what would change(I also haven't read it since probably around the time/year I wrote it, too), but recently I got a pretty interesting idea for it! :D What if, instead of it mostly focusing on/following Kyle like it does originally, I not only re-write/revamp the story but also write it from Liam's side this time around? That way, it's still a story about how they confess to each other, but now it explores Liam's feelings and side of things more(and would probably include other characters, too). I feel like this could also be a great bit of character exploration for him, especially when it comes to his feelings about love/romance since I don't think I've covered that as deeply.
I've also just been thinking about editing some of my old Spooksverse stories to post to my Ao3 a bit recently, too, so this will probably be at the top of the list! I'm kind of all-over the place and very overwhelmed/stressed out right now so I don't know when this will happen, but just wanted to share ahead of time anyway!
For those who do remember the old "Prom and Confessions" story, here's something I posted about my potential rewrite ideas for it! I'm honestly pretty excited for the recent idea I came up with for it, especially to do a bit of character study for Liam!
Had a thought about the DBDA AU again. Since in the show they start off in London before going to(and then being stuck in) Port Townsend, what if for my AU something similar happens?
Since this is a DBDA AU for my OCs, it would start off in Poltervale, the city where all my characters reside in in canon. Then, a case would have them set off for Stoneyview, another city(with it's own story) in my universe. Stoneyview would even be in a similar part of the country as Port Townsend, though I imagine it a little closer to the west's mountainous region than the coastline. Because the show has the other three meet Niko in PT, a similar thing would happen for my AU with Shadow(my Niko stand-in), where they would meet her there.
I'd still have to think about who could be a potential The Cat King stand-in and how the detectives of my AU would be stuck in Stoneyview, but I do think this idea would open up more room for this AU!
Almost forgot to share these, but guess what I did again with my favorite group of OCs? Lol, these were done two-ish weeks ago using this picrew, which I had used previously on my main blog after seeing a fun chain with it. These four are always my top favorites to play around with in picrews, so I couldn't resist making them with it!
I like how I was able to make them all unique with different head/eye/nose shapes! :3 And differently-shaped pupils, since that is a low-key favorite feature of mine across different picrews! I think they all came out good! :)
1. Who initiated the relationship, and how did it go?
They both kind of did, since they were just talking by themselves(at a holiday party) when the subject of their relationship got brought up, and it was then that they mutually decided to finally make things official between them
2. Did they have an official first date? If so, what was it like?
Their junior prom was their technical first date, but since they didn’t really get around to officially being together until several months later(they took their time adjusting to their new romantic feelings for each other outside of their previous just-friendship), they would plan another ‘first date’ to make them feel more official as a couple
3. What was their first kiss like?
It happened a little after they became official, with it just being a warm, soft yet sweet peck on the lips
4. Were they each other’s first anything (kiss, relationship, etc.)?
Kyle was Liam’s first everything, though he was also Kyle’s eventual official ‘first time’ (not his first kiss or relationship though, as Kyle did have a previous relationship at one point before getting with Liam)
5. What’s their height difference? Age difference?
Height-wise I’d say Kyle’s a good 6-7 inches taller, and age-wise he’s also about 6-7 months older too
6. What’s their relationship with each other’s families?
Pretty good, as their parents(specifically Kyle’s mom) are business partners in a sense but are also pretty good friends with each other in general, so they are already more than welcomed and loved in each other’s homes
7. Who takes the lead in social situations?
They both do an equal amount, I’d say
8. Who gets jealous easier?
I’d proobably say Kyle, but only in the sense that Liam gets more attention in general than he does(more so because of his family’s business, even though Kyle would argue his could be just as note-worthy)
9. Who whispers inappropriate things in the other’s ear?
Hmm, I’d probably say Liam but it’d be more sly and sneaky than out-right inappropriate/suggestive
Would anyone be interested in reading a story if I made one for it? It would be a multi-chaptered story, mirroring the show's pacing and some of its emotional moments and other story beats, while also being a bit more original/unique to fit my cast of characters. When I made this main post about the AU, I thought about the idea of making episode/case synopses and/or moodboards to flesh out the AU in smaller ways. But, as I do want to work on this AU again, I can see the benefit of working on a more ambitious project like a story to really flesh out and expand upon it and the characters in many ways.
That would be a lot more work though, which I would be okay with, but I would like to know if it's even something people would be interested in reading. So, please let me know! 🙏
Happy belated Halloween! 🖤🧡 This was one of my Halloween art ideas that I unfortunately did not get done with in time, but was of a concept that I enjoyed too much that I wanted to finish anyway. That being my OC, Orpheus Romano(in his "Oliver Reynolds" disguise/persona), dressing up as Clark Kent from Superman~ 💙❤️ (Specifically, the newest movie that came out this summer)
I have already made a brief mention of my current huge hyperfixation/brainrot for DC right now on this blog, so unlike the IG and DA versions of this post, I won't get too into it here(though I did add a lot more context to it in those posts, so feel free to check them out if you want to). And, since I have already explored this concept in this reblog post from two months ago, I'll keep my ideas for this drawing brief here as well. But, I just thought it would be a fun idea to draw Oliver as Clark, since Oliver is to Orpheus a bit like what Clark is to Superman. I think that since that reblog, I decided that his glasses will function a bit like Clark's hypno-glasses, only his are enchanted by/made with magic instead(to better fit the magical side of the Spooksverse universe). Since the glasses put in the work of subtly hypnotizing others and making both of his appearances indistinguishable from each other, he doesn't have to use his own glamour magic too much, but still does so for little aspects of his physical appearance such as his hair. When he is acting as Oliver he usually has dirty blonde hair, but I decided to give him black hair here to match Clark a bit more.

So, this is another case of me making the Main Group in a picrew and then forgetting to share until months later 😅 But, these were all made back in July using this specific one, because I think at the time I was looking through past picrews I've made of myself for picrew chains, and came across this one again and thought it was really cute! :3
I don't think I have anything major to talk about this time, but I do really like how they all came out! ^w^
Finally some more Spooksverse art! Did not mean to be so inactive with it as I do have some major art ideas in mind, but I have been so busy so far this year between school and work that I haven’t been focusing on art in general much. But, here’s something in the meantime!
These were sketched sometime in the winter I believe, that I originally meant to render to not only finally showcase Orpheus’ “Oliver Reynolds” disguise, but also formally mention that his ex-boyfriend is Kyle! If you all have looked closely at the previous posts for both I have made subtle references that they are each other’s first/ex-boyfriend, but I never explicitly stated it before till now.
But back to Orpheus, as I have mentioned before for him, he has music-related abilities that are a lot more hypnotic and siren-like in nature, with a unique, glamour-side ability that allows him to have his “Oliver” disguise. He primarily used this ability to attend Polter High for his junior year of high school, as he wanted a break from the paparazzi that year by attending a regular public school with an unassuming disguise. While there he had a fairly friendly and warm presence, even joining a few clubs/organizations that were offered there, like choir as even if it could potentially expose him, he couldn’t stay away from his love of music. Thanks to becoming friends with Suzie Evans is how he met Kyle Stewart, who they would soon hit it off together and become each other’s first boyfriend. They enjoyed their time together as they dated for half the year, but ultimately decided to break things off for a few different reasons before Orpheus was to head back to his original school/life. They only kept in-touch for a few more months afterwards so neither is currently aware of what the other is up to, but even after moving on they both generally wish the other is doing well.
I'm just going to share this as an addition to this older post, but with the current DC hyperfixation/brainrot I have right now, partly from the newest Superman movie, I was reminded of my character Orpheus. How, much like Superman/Clark Kent, he has two different identities, and how he uses a sense of glamour to disguise them from each other(and coincidentally, both have glasses for one).
I always thought that for Orpheus(and this is mentioned in the above post), he uses glamour magic for his "Oliver" identity, which mainly changes his hair and has a "hypnotizing" effect that makes it difficult to distinguish his appearances, aside from what he adopts such as the glasses, different fashion sense, and other mannerisms/personality traits. But, since watching Superman and them very briefly bringing up the hypno-glasses at one point in the movie, it got me thinking of possibly including something like that for Orpheus/Oliver? It already kind of works with the aformentioned glamour magic, and honestly, I am getting some slight Clark vibes from rereading the above post for Orpheus/Oliver(not just for the physical/hypnotizing differences, but how he switches up mannerisms to make both identities seem different too).
This was an idea I originally had back in 2021, after thinking about a certain family I had not yet explored; step-siblings. Having a diversity in family situations was always something important to me and that I liked working with for this universe, as it is a small way to connect to real-life with people having different family situations and possibly something people can relate to. Since I've added a couple more characters after the initial draft(some of which still need to be officially introduced, such as Delaney and Terrance), and changed a few of their family situations, I feel like I have a pretty good diversity.
This guide doesn't really delve into the actual family dynamics, but more so family structures. Basic information includes the siblings and how close they are in age, and the marital status of the parents. Some may have more information than others, depending on how complicated their family situation gets.

Jenny and Tyler are eight years apart in age. Their parents are married. Through their paternal aunt, they are cousins to Caleb Thompson.
- Delaney Alder
Delaney is the only child born to her mother and father. Her mother died from cancer when she was only eight years old. She lived with her single father for many years, until his recent marriage to Eve Williams' mother. She has had very few long-lasting or meaningful interactions with her new step-sister, still being wary to approach her even as they are living in the same house now.
- Matthew and Madeline Becker
Matt and Maddie are seven years apart in age. Their parents are married. Through their maternal aunt, they are cousins to Ashley, Suzie, and Sophie Evans.
- Shadow Blackson
Shadow is the only child in her family. Her parents are married. She has one paternal uncle, who gave her three younger cousins. She has one maternal uncle who gave her two older cousins, and one maternal aunt who gave her one older cousin and two younger cousins.
- Ashley, Suzanne, and Sophia Evans
Ashley is four years older than Suzie, and 12 years older than Sophie. Their parents are married. Through their maternal aunt, they are cousins to Matt and Maddie Becker.
- Blaise and Isabella Garcia
Blaise and Izzy are twins and the oldest in their family, though are unaware of who is actually older as their parents never told them. They have two younger brothers, one who is five years younger than them, and one who is thirteen years younger than them. Their parents are married.
- Alana Greystone
Alana is the only child in her family. She grew up with her single father. Her mother was a goddess, who left her in the care of her father not long after her birth. She has had some contact with her mother, though it has been very limited throughout her life, so she has no real relationship with her.
- Jaylin Hart
Jay is the oldest child in their family. Their parents are in a polyamorous relationship, consisting of one mother and two fathers, no pair officially married but instead are long-term partners that are all equally in love. They also have two younger siblings, a sister who is four years younger(born from their mother and second father), and a brother who is seven years younger(born from their father and second father). Jay's biological father is a demon, making them and their brother half-demon.
- Ryan and Leah Hauser
Ryan and Leah are fifteen years apart in age. Their parents are married.
- Danielle Iglesias
Dani comes from a big family, having six siblings. She has a brother six years older, a sister three years older, a sister one year younger, a brother three years younger, a brother five years younger, and a sister seven years younger. Her parents are married.
- William Liu
William is the only child in his family. He grew up with his single adoptive mother. He never knew his birth parents, only knowing that one was a human and one was a vampire.
- Jessica Maricotte
Jessica is the only child in her family. She grew up most of her life with her mother and step-father. She never knew her birth father, only knowing that he was an angel.
- Kayla Miller
Kayla is the only child in her family. She has two fathers, who are married.
- Clara Mondel
Clara is the only child in her family. Her family situation has always been a bit complicated. She lived the first few years of her life with her parents in their natural realm, who sent her to the mortal realm when she became of school age to gain experience living like a mortal. She was in the foster care system for several years, as no foster parents ever wanted to adopt her due to the unpredictability of her angel powers. She finally got adopted by one couple when she was thirteen years old. She had the chance to reunite with her birth parents once she turned eighteen, but came to enjoy her time in the mortal realm and has chosen to stay until she will be called back later in life to fulfill her angel duties.
- Callum Morrison
Callum is the only child in his family. He grew up with his single mother. His father was a god, who wanted very little to do with him after finding out about his birth. He has met his father a few times when he was younger, but has no real relationship with him.
- Terrance Muse
Terrance is the oldest child in his family, having a brother three years younger than him. His parents are married.
- Rena Naegi
Rena is the only child in her family. Her parents are married.
- Oakley and Autumn Palmer
Oakley and Autumn are four years apart in age. Their parents are married. Their parents had a difficult time trying to conceive a child naturally, so they eventually opted for adoption to start the family they always wanted. Both Oakley and Autumn were adopted separately, and have no biological ties to either their parents or each other.
- Calliope and Orpheus Romano
Calliope and Orpheus are two years apart in age. Their parents are married.
- Daniel Sato
Daniel is the only child in his family. He lives with his single father. His mother is a succubus demon, who left him in the care of his father not long after his birth. As she wanted nothing to do with him, Daniel has never met his mother before.
- Mai and Liam Small
Mai and Liam are four years apart in age. Their parents, Theodore and Eleanor, are married.
- Kyle Stewart
Kyle is the only child born to his mother and father. His parents recently divorced a few months prior during winter, after drifting apart romantically during the past couple of years. His parents are still in the process of finding new homes, with Kyle choosing to stay with his mother as he was always closer with her. Andrew Winston is his older half-brother by eight years from their mother, Sharon's, first marriage.
- Caleb Thompson
Caleb is the only child in their family. They have two mothers, who are married. Through his maternal uncle, he has two cousins, Jenny and Tyler Adams.
- Serena Walters
Serena is the middle child in her family, having a sister older than her by six years, and twin brothers younger than her by four years. Her parents are married.
- Evangeline Williams
Eve is the only child born to her mother and father. Her parents divorced when she was eleven years old, after her father's affair was revealed. After the divorce, she lived with her mother, moving across state. She has had very little contact with her father, hurt from his affair and preferring not to speak to or see him anymore. Her father remarried his new lady, with her gaining one step-sibling and two half-siblings from the marriage. She knows of these siblings, but has never met them. During the past year her mother finally remarried, to Delaney Alder's father. She has had very few long-lasting or meaningful interactions with her new step-sister, unsure of how to interact with her even as they are living in the same house now.
- Andrew Winston
Andrew is the only child born to his mother and father. His parents divorced when he was only four years old, as they had too many differences to make a long-term relationship work. After the divorce, he lived primarily with his father. Kyle Stewart is his younger half-brother by eight years from their mother, Sharon's, second marriage. His father eventually remarried during his teenage years, though he has no step-siblings or half-siblings from his step-mother.
Finally... FINALLY THIS STORY IS FINISHED!!! 😭😭😭 I did not mean to take so long finishing this next chapter, but it has eluded me for the longest 🥲 I first started the document for this chapter little over a year ago, which was already over a year since the last chapter(chapter 4) was posted. I had just been so stuck on how I wanted it to go, as I had a few vague ideas for things that I wanted to happen, but had no idea how to connect them. Sometime in the late fall I decided to re-read and write down notes for all the previous chapters, to jog my memory of what has already happened and see what ideas could form from there. It actually helped me quite a lot, as once I got to this chapter I finally had more ideas to connect everything together!
This chapter is very long at 9.1k words, which is another reason why this chapter took so long to write. My reasoning for this chapter being so long is that I simply just wanted to be done with this story already, so I put all of my finish-up ideas into it and expected it to get pretty long to wrap everything up. I didn't truly expect for it to get this long, but there is 3-ish scenes in it, that I wanted to build up. Some of the conversational points might be repetitive, but at this point, I am just too tired and exhausted to care too much as I just wanted this story done lol. I will say though, that I am pretty surprised and a little bit proud of myself for writing so much, as this is the most amount words I have ever written before(for a chapter of a longer story, or short story/one-shot in general)! I'll see how my other story ideas go, but hopefully I can keep this type of momentum up to write more fleshed out and detailed stories in the future~ :3
After almost exactly 4 years since the first chapter was posted, the Fantasy AU story is now complete~! :D Huge thank you again to @littlechaoticwitch, for creating this little AU idea for me so many years ago, which I absolutely adored and went off(maybe a little insane too) with my inspiration and love for it~! <3 I hope you guys have enjoyed the whole story up to this point, and that you enjoy reading this chapter! ^w^

I finally got around to posting the fourth chapter of my @spooksverse-asks Fantasy AU story to my ao3! Did not mean to take so long in uploading it lol. This chapter was originally posted in July of 2022. Finally, an appearance from Queen Eleanor!
As this is the last of the chapters I had already written, that means the next chapter will actually be new writing(well, more-or-less as I've been working on it for a while lol)! This chapter is the one where the boys finally confess, which means they will be an official couple in the next chapter!

I didn't get a chance to share this the other day, but I posted the third chapter of my @spooksverse-asks Fantasy AU story to my ao3! This chapter was originally written back in September of 2021. Finally, Mai appears, and there is only one more old chapter to edit and upload!
Looking back on the original description for this chapter on my DeviantArt, I remembered I intended for it to be pretty angsty. And while re-reading it, I definitely got that angst feeling with the conversation between Liam and Kyle. This chapter is also the chapter I have done the most edits for! Sometime last year when I was in an angsty mood with my characters, I gave more consideration to my idea of Kyle's parents divorcing. This idea came up as I just couldn't picture his parents in moments together much in my head, and with their different busy schedules and lives, I don't see it as being too surprising for them. So, this edited chapter serves as a mini exploration for that! I will most likely touch on the subject in the main universe at some point, either as a short story or during the main story, as it would happen close enough to the beginning of it.

I posted the second chapter of my @spooksverse-asks Fantasy AU story to my ao3! This chapter was originally written back in July of 2021.
When re-reading this chapter to make slight edits, I forgot about some of the cute moments in it! Particularly, the scene in the library of the colors complimenting Kyle's colors(and Liam in denial about his feelings), and Kyle's inner excitement at the physical contact from his crush. It's been years like I previously mentioned since I first wrote and read these original chapters, so while I have remembered the major plot moments, little details like that I have forgotten about. I know some people may cringe or feel dissatisfied with their old writing, but reading those small moments again are one of my most favorite parts about looking over my old work again!

I've uploaded my first work to ao3 last night! Since I'm currently still trying to get the next/last part of the Fantasy AU story for Spooksverse done, I thought it would be fun to upload the story on there and have all chapters in one easy place! All of the already finished chapters are from 2021-2022, but I will be leaving them as they were originally written for the most part, with some minor edits here-and-there if it calls for it.
For anyone who doesn't remember or follow @spooksverse-asks, this story focuses on my OCs, Liam and Kyle, in a Fantasy AU setting! Liam is a prince who does not wish to rule, and Kyle is the knight he is training to take his place on the throne, though their training together gets more complicated as they start to grow feelings for each other. This AU was also made for me by the amazing @littlechaoticwitch so many years ago, which I have to thank again after all these years for creating such a lovely AU idea that I absolutely adore~ <3
I hope you enjoy reading! Updates on ao3 will come as I work on re-reading/editing all the old chapters!
I finally got an ao3 account last weekend, and the first thing I thought to upload to it is the Fantasy AU story! As mentioned above, I am currently still writing the next/last part of the story, but I thought this would be nice to have all the chapters in one easy place now!
When the next part is finally finished, it will of course still be uploaded individually on my DA + here on Tumblr and ao3!
