Lockdown life. Our toilet broke (wouldn’t flush) so The Lovely Husband rolled up his sleeves and fixed it himself. We had to buy all-new toilet guts so that meant a click and collect visit at Screwfix.

I was impressed with the sensible social distancing measures which actually worked- marks 2 metres apart for queuing outside, a member of staff on the door who asked for our order number, then let you in the shop alone, a few moments later to pick up the item off the table. There was hand sanitiser available too.

The Lovely Husband is not a plumber (he’s a software engineer) but did a stellar job. For £40 we got a perfectly working toilet without having to have a plumber in the house! 🚽 👌
