I didn't believe a kiss can make much of a difference until one day it changed my whole world
A song goes by unheard when a heart remains unaltered
I see stars..
Sparkling through night clouds ..
I see moon..
Shining farther
From thunder that's loud
I see sky
Trying to soften the tone
When rain splatters like stone
As I stood there watching alone
A little girl staring at her window counting the drops as they cloned..
World Of Windows
A little girl dances while playing with a doll shoe.
Her mother imitates a step or two..
Tired of cooking as she watches..
Head nods with a smile on their faces.
As seldom the girl catches her woo..
Popping out toys like balloons from the attic..
Sneaking into tents..
As she play pretends ...
Cheering out loud on the drums made of plastic..
Listening to the faint laughter..
A man walks back..
Trying to figure out the noise..
From which door...
Cleans his glasses..
Continuing to count steps of squirrel paws on his patio floors.
Dancing fingers swinging..
By her age old books.
It took a few days to get the dust off the hooks..
As each of them were taken to an empty chair..
With coffee and cookies started a candid affair..
Letters opened and read again..
While drops of tears ...
Looks at a passing train.
Sturdy hands sewing an incomplete flannel..
Eyes blurred into a deeper tunnel..
Of the endless memory lane ..
That reminded of an accidental stain..
Tighter ropes awaiting sigh..
Lighter slopes turning towards a corner's lie..
Quieter notes inside a homely cry.
The night floats into a harmless try..
Doors don't open..
Not even to day break.
Dreams taken away..
By worries that seem to stay...
Trying to avoid shadows..
While Sun stays wide awake..
Reading stories ..
That queues for tomorrow's sake..
We have started to live in a World of Windows...
Where these empty streets need to recover...
As this stand still will be over..
Breathing a universal belief within that this cannot go forever..
It's easy to leave but difficult to stay
Beyond the Sunny Side
There were hands holding me..
Fingers that covered my eyes..
World to me was folded..
Within sugar coated lies.
There were paths defined..
Words to be read underlined..
Walking through forest was undermined..
Underneath the house that shined.
There were shoulders right beside..
Tears that poured where glanced quick and wiped.
Windows that showed dark clouds were exchanged by a fake sunny side..
As soon as failure hit there was always an applaud that you tried.
There were freedom of speech...
Always a pull over right after a screech.
There were sounds of encouragement bugel..
Without the slightest encounter to the gruesome battlefield.
There were bruises accompanied by heed..
There was always someone holding on while they bleed.
As getting wounded was the only way to the set the tears free..
When indeed it was the shortest outcome to which it leads when compared to others that you see..
That's childhood played for us in repeat...
Where friends and family shadow your scariest defeat..
And loneliness gathers dust right under your feet.
Until one day you confront it all..
Right when you feel proud that there were so many of them..
Guiding you to learn the art of plunge before you finally fall.
It's been a while
It's been a while..
Since your smile.
Took away a breath of me.
It's been a while..
Since your steps.
Walked away quite a mile from me.
It's been a while..
Since I found you..
While opening the door..
Standing still..
Where eyes dare not..
Move away from me.
It's been a while..
Since words were spoken.
Like droplets of token..
It's been a while..
Since you fled broken...
As nights were awoken.
It's been a while..
Sadness stopped flattering.
Sensing difficulty in altering.
It's been a while...
I didn't wake up aghast..
Trying to catch up the past.
It's been a while..
That the search got futile.
Since never became the style..
Of the occurrence..
That stopped happening more than once.
