Abundance Mindset
For me, the above phrase simply meant a shallow trend earlier. It felt like a superficial term where I am simply repeating a few affirmations by rote and it didn't feel real. So to understand this mindset, I checked out a few YouTube videos, to gather a few perspectives so I can make my conclusion on it.
Like my previous post, I now understand that the 'Abundance Mindset' are a set of habits and beliefs. Most importantly a perspective to let go of a way that we respond to some things so we can elevate to the next level of our consciousness :)
I have learned that a lot of our responses are automatic. We do not even stop or think for a second about what the most apt and grounded response for a situation would be. This has by far been the most gruelling practise for me. Unlearning all of the automatic response and most importantly, not taking anything personally.
What has worked for me earlier:
Gratitude. It always reminds me that I have access to the smallest of smallest blessings, which sometimes can be very easy to overlook
My reflections for the day always lets me observe myself neautrally for the day, in an overall perspective. It really encourages me to make the necessary shifts wherever required. Whether be it in my habits or behaviours.
Action. A lot of times, action takes lesser time than all of the sprialling thought processes. Action literally is jumping into the unknown. It is a release. It also means a humongous trust in the unknown.
Learning a new response. Like a baby learning to walk, we might stumble in this process a couple of times, and sometimes and back and forth too. But eventually, we learn how to respond in the most apt way. This is learning step especially when you are aware of these automatic responses.
These responses are usually aligned with attitude of having what one wants. So celebrating other people's happiness, investing on activities and materials that make you truly happy, knowing your limit of 'enough', because you know that this defines the limit of one's consumption, and can come back to this when the needs arise.
Here's how I am (brutal vulnerability) unlearning a few of my beliefs to elevate to the next level:
Celebrating (and sharing) others' joys!
Being transparent about what I feel, because here in lies my authenticity
Brave: Being scared and acting on the direction anyway
Using money to make my life easier, not simply as a resource to hoard or save. Using it judiciously.
Express my opinion ANYWAY, keeping discernment in mind - LOUD AND CLEAR.
New actions = New results, a process of compounding & consistency
Taking up space - trying new things, seeing the outfits I would love to wear, take efforts to go explore the kind of outfits i would love to wear, decide my style
Making space for others in my life :)
Follow through with my wishes, even if it is on a whim :)
Allow and accept the good energy towards me :)
One thing at a time, to be organized.
My decision of no longer being afraid or apologizing for who I am. The ONLY validation I EVER needed was MY OWN. And to keep doing things that make my heart happy, content and make me sleep at night with a smile on my face! :)
This understanding has really helped me shift my way of thinking in all possible ways, and just like other habits, this is a practise. Work your own method, see what works for self.
