Lives Warehoused. I’m fascinated by people loading and unloading parts of their lives at the storage unit. Storage has become a “thing” in NYC cuz people’s apartments are just way too small. I watch in fascination as they pack away beach chairs and umbrellas in the fall and swap them for winter coats. Or in the spring, as they bring out the tiny pink bike and wiffle ball set. Sometimes a Uhaul pulls up and unloads beds, microwaves and entire rooms of furniture, their stressed out owners trying to pack their entire life away into a 10x10 space.
