While seeing some motivational posts in my twitter feed, something hit me: we know Lucifer was stated to be one of the most beautiful angels in heaven, but was this reputation ever mentioned in the Hellaverse? We know it’s referenced with his porcelain doll aesthetic, but did heaven ever actually refer to him as that? More so, did they ever compliment his looks at all? They threw so much shade at him just for being himself, to the point where even if they never said anything about his appearance, the weight of everything else he got criticized for might’ve made him think his looks were bad too. Maybe part of why his aesthetic is as showy as the rest of him is desperation for acceptance. “If I wear all this fancy shit, it’s got to at least make me look pretty, right? Or at least, less ugly, right? Then people will love me, right???…..”. Lilith is probably one of the only people that gave him praise, in every regard possible, but odds are at best he only believed it for the moment. Poor dear. He can’t recognize all that his status as Light Bearer entails. It’s not just literal. He brings light into the lives of those he cares about, or at the very least tries to. On top of that, it fits because his beauty is that rare kind that shines brilliantly both inside and out.
