May I recommend this story if you haven't reced it recently?
It's a delightful fic inspired by The Disabled Tyrant's Beloved Pet Fish. I've never read that series, but I loved this fic! Wwx is somehow a rabbit who meets Lwj while running from dogs. Lwj (being Lwj) decides to take care of this rabbit until they can release him somewhere safe, and ends up getting attached. It's fluffy (lol) and adorable, and bunny Wwx is so funny! It's one of my favorite fics and absolutely worth a read!

Summary: A gentle touch stroked his back, and Wei Ying stiffened in surprise. He looked up to find pale-gold eyes staring down at him intensely.
He gulped.
“Are you hurt?” The young cultivator asked in a soft voice, as if he expected an answer— even though he was already prodding Wei Ying’s ears and legs to see for himself. When he didn’t find evidence of injury he seemed to relax. “Are you frightened?”
If Wei Ying were human, he would have blushed and tried to crack a joke to hide it. As a rabbit, he could only kick his feet like a shy toddler.
“Wangji? I heard a commotion. Is everything alright?”
With the swiftness of a child being caught up past their bedtime, Wei Ying was shoved inside a billowing sleeve.
“Mn.”

This is a ‘The Disabled Tyrant’s Beloved Pet Fish’ AU for Wangxian. That series captured my heart, so then this happened. For those who don’t know that story; you don’t have to read it to read this. I don’t follow the plot at all, and I even changed the premise a bit. It’s only loosely inspired by it.
Also just to be clear: Wei Ying is not a rabbit 100% of the time.

For Follower Recs, I come bearing *drumroll* a fic that has acquired a place in my very perfectionist and picky top 5 wangxian fic list!
My thoughts/basically me convincing people to read this:
Post-Sunshot. What happens when a Jiang-Lan marriage alliance is struck to 'fix Wei Wuxian's unstable behavior'? The obvious aka Wei Wuxian systematically fixing up the entire Lan Clan and its issues. Alternatively, the story of how a marriage alliance to bring the dreaded Yiling laozu to heel turned into steadily growing the Wei Wuxian Protection Squad (yep, lan Qiren's included in said squad).
Bonus: Wei Wuxian being the biggest supporter and protector of the jades of Lan and their kindness and learning his own self-worth. This has got to be my favourite GusuXian fic. It starts with Jiang Cheng hearing the 'Come back to Gusu with me' dialogue and spirals into a fic where Wei Wuxian slowly and systematically makes lives better and gets the love and respect he deserves from GusuLan! No death, no burial mounds siege, No Xuanli or Wen Remnants death with an amazing happy ending.
And if that all isnt enough to convince you to read this, there are multiple instances of Wei Wuxian putting the Lan Elders in their place by using their own percepts and traditions against their corrupted asses. The best one, the one that landed this fic in my faves was when he becomes Lan Zhan's self-appointed lawyer and seeks revenge for a big punishment he gets.

Excerpt: “That,” Uncle said slowly, his hands clenched into fists in anticipation of a conflict, “that you threaten our sect. You showed that you could easily drop a waterborne abyss into the Cloud Recesses and destroy us all!”
Wei Ying smiled, and it was the smile of the conqueror of Wen Ruohan's army.
“Didn’t Uncle know this already?”
The sound of sharp breaths swept through the hall.
“Didn’t,” Wei Ying continued, “the Gusu Lan Sect accept me into their ranks in order to have me on their side in case of another conflict between the sects?”
Lan Wangji raised his eyebrows. That was never the issue. He had wanted to bring Wei Ying here to heal him, his brother hoped to get a capable worker, and the sect found it useful to establish stronger ties with its neighbours.
“So is it,” Wei Ying asked again, “that the respected elders would prefer me as an enemy?”
Lan Wangji prepared to grab Bichen at any second. His prediction about the fracas failed miserably. It wouldn’t be a fracas, but a massacre. He had to protect Wei Ying.
“You infiltrated our sect, insinuated yourself into our trust, and now you threaten us!” Uncle Zixin shouted nervously.
“Trust?” Wei Ying pouted. “I see, you trust me so much that you beat my husband for letting me look after some kids. What do you think, that outside the Cloud Recesses I couldn’t dump a waterborne abyss on the mountain? Oh, wow, that's exactly what I did! By the way!” He raised his palm to stop Elder Zhang's angry outcry. “I read the sect’s Charter here — not the precepts from the wall, but the organisational Charter. And I wanted to clarify one point: for the violation of which particular rule was my husband punished?”
“There is a fundamental respect for elders! Wangji is young and must obey the more experienced and wise!”
Everyone buzzed in agreement.
“Oh no,” Wei Ying narrowed his eyes. “Stop pulling wool over my eyes. You are Gusu Lan, you live by the rules. Give me a rule.”
“It's an unwritten rule!” Uncle Junjie insisted. “The whole world lives by it!”
“The whole world talks over food,” Wei Ying retorted. “The whole world takes their sons to the flower house when they come of age. The whole world keeps dogs and pigs. No need to tell me about the whole world, I came from it. Lan Zhan,” Wei Ying suddenly turned to him, “you were the Head of Punishments, weren’t you? Remind me, what’s due to a member of the sect who arbitrarily and unlawfully punishes another member of the sect on a false charge?”
Summary: Wei Ying doesn’t know what to make of it when, after he so publicly confronts the Jins, his staunchest supporter turns out to be… Zewu-jun?
(Or, Lan Xichen time travels, immediately goes about fixing things, and promptly confuses the fuck out of everyone along the way.)
Kay's comments: Ah, POV Outsider on time-travel stories can be so fun! Especially if it's just confusing to everyone around! Here we have POV Wei Wuxian on a time-travelling Lan Xichen, who stands up for him when he first asks after the Wens after Wen Qing came to hime for help. Wei Wuxian is mostly passive here, as Lan Xichen takes the lead, and I absolutely love it. Suddenly, he finds himself in the Jingshi, with Lan Wangji taking playing with A-Yuan and wonderung: Huh... How did I end up here again? Super great and hopeful story!
Excerpt: “Er-ge,” Jin Guangyao steps forward from beside his father’s seat, ready to smooth things over with his sworn brother. Lan Xichen calmly turns his head to meet his eyes, head tilting in a gentle gesture of encouragement. Although… There seems to be something off about it. Something coiled, something sad, something devastated.
Wei Ying is confused.
A quick glance at Lan Zhan shows him that it clearly isn’t his imagination either, the merest of furrows between the Second Jade’s brow as he watches Zewu-jun. Like, Lan Zhan, too, might be uncertain what to make of his brother’s uncharacteristic demeanor at the moment.
Silence reigns for several elongated moments, Jin Guangyao appearing somewhat taken aback by the uncharacteristically inflexible look on his sworn brother’s usually so amicable face. Still, he rallies himself quickly, speaking softly, demurely, bowing his head in supposed agreement, “Er-ge is of course right. Such accusations should be considered carefully for their… merit.”
It is that brief pause at the end which almost has Wei Ying wanting to applaud the man for his delicate phrasing.
As though everyone here isn’t aware that Jin Guangyao is – once more and forever again – pointing out the disparity between Wei Ying’s station as the accuser and Jin What’s-His-Face’s as the accused. A not-so-subtle reminder that it is the mere son of a servant, who is daring to speak against one of the gentry. How laughable.

The Yiling Laozu Wei Wuxian feeling all good after scaring the crap out of all the pretentious cultivators ( I am talking about you and your bootlickers Jin Guangs**t) who tried to break the barriers in Burial Mounds for the 999999 times..😀😀😀
