He planted a lingering kiss on her pouting lips in apology "I think so, a new business partner for Future Industries has been established and a weapons shipment from some of our established friends in the lower ring for the Dragons." Jae pursed his lips realizing he was starting to talk business when he really didn't care for the topic at this moment. "How can I make it up to you?"
She chuckled softly as he caught himself, leaning up to steal another kiss. "It sounds like you earned a reward~. Why don't you get a shower and turn in to bed early, since you've been working so hard~?" she purred, the look on her face making it even more obvious that he wouldn't be getting much rest that night.
Jae grinned and tightened his arms around Azula, picking her up slightly as he nuzzled into the crook of her neck. Her familiar scent a comfort he didn't realized he missed so much "I missed you too, Ba Sing Se took longer than I intended."
"It better have been worth it," she said grumpily, digging her nails into him lightly as she tried to ignore the fact that tears were welling in her eyes. "I don't ever want you to be gone that long again, you understand me?"
"Hey there princess." His breath brushes against her shoulder and neck just a second before two arms pull her into a warm embrace. His chin came to rest on the peak of her shoulder. The firebender wasn't as neat as he usually looked, his hair was a mess (not anything new, but it looked ridiculously worse than normal), flat on one side and sticking up on the other and his shirt and pants rumpled from napping on the couch.
Azula threw her arms around him and squeezed tight, pulling Jae close and hiding her face in the crook of his shoulder. He needed a shower as much as he needed a hairbrush, but right now, she didn't care. She clung tightly to him, practically trembling as she held on. "I missed you."

Asami set down the large binder she was holding and looked down, “Something on your mind Jae?”
"You’re leaving out cookies and milk to encourage an old fat man to break into our house?" [[ It just seemed like such a Jae thing to say! ]]
