Okay, but hear me out: Norkus is fine and all. But it's like, largely based in trauma bonding and feels horribly rushed because a.) they needed it as a plot point and b.) David Cage writing women is always going to be shit, 'nuff said.
What if North came to the realization that the one guy who always challenged her at every turn, but stayed by her side regardless… is actually Josh. Who she's known a lot longer (in android time) than Markus (he literally just showed up out of the blue last week).
Like, seriously, you can't tell me there wasn't any UST in the midst of all that pacifism-vs.-violence debating. And North deserves more than just being a plot point for Markus's story. Also, not gonna lie, I think Josh gets neglected in favor of Simon. Not that Simon's not great, but give Josh a share of the plot, too!
Just imagine Markus standing there, facing down the FBI, big damn hero revolutionary icon dude glaring at the humans and rallying his people… and then at the last minute, it's not anything he does that persuades them—no, he's still glaring and standing defiant, but then the news camera shifts over his shoulder and North and Josh are sucking face and that's what shifts the tide of everything.
IDK, there's something inherently entertaining about the proverbial angel-and-devil-on-your-shoulder going, "forget this dumbass we're supposed to advise, let's hook up instead."
