I finished a fic and then I read it over to pick up on mistakes, but then suddenly I’m like wtf did I just write??? I hate it 😂 even though I took the time and effort to write it, I never want to post something I hate even tho I thought it was good before lol I’m so picky 😂 but hey, sometimes my brain likes to fuck with me and there’s nothing that I can do but to obey that bitch 😂
Oof that’s a mood common among many writers and creators, so... don’t worry about it??? You have to find a way to tell yourself that your brain is good at tricking you into thinking it’s awful and actually people won’t even notice half of the things that stick out to you. You’ve been so caught up in creating it for so long that it all seems terrible, but honestly, once you’ve hit ‘post’ you don’t have to worry about it any longer.
Also, maybe try and work out why it no longer works for you. Is it the pacing? The sentence structure/length/format? Are you using too many adjectives or something? Be critical in the ‘academic’ sense of the word (rather than just beating yourself with a metaphorical stick about how ‘bad’ it is (spoilers, it’s not).) If you can unpick your own writing in a detatched mindset - become your own editor - you’ll grow in confidence, I’m sure.
