Finished Like Love and I can see why people like to rewatch. Mai Ding was the star of the show tbh.

An Ziyan could’ve been more affectionate. Usually when I watch BL’s I get so upset with miscommunication and assumptions, especially with no proof, and I say to myself “if only they’d voice their feelings and concerns things would be so much easier”.

And Ziyan disproved that. Mai Ding was constantly expressing his concerns and feelings. He told Ziyan that he did not feel loved and insecure in their relationship and Ziyan would just brush him off or rudely reply with a ‘sounds personal’. I guess it was supposed to come off as playful because Mai Ding didn’t seem phased for too long but I found it kinda off putting.

I did question if things would end badly, which is normal, but I didn’t feel like An Ziyan cared. Definitely not as much as Mai. He didn’t show much emotion besides being horny and annoyed. He was shown being upset about the Zhu Li incident and the blind date. Then the talk he had with his friend about really loving Mai Ding but it’s was at the very end.

Yet once again I’m grateful for having experienced this show. It was raunchier than other shows I’ve watched and I appreciate that. There were more kisses than I could count and they weren’t modified to look that way by weird lighting and angles. It also didn’t seem forced or uncomfortable which is a big plus.
