Since 2011, I've always wanted ot make a comic for my fan character and lowkey self insert, Lila Kitty. I have decided after all this time to give it a second go. So here! On Comicfury!

Lila Kitty, or Lila the Cat, starts her story as a 14 year old journalist making poor decisions - her first being to frame Sonic the Hedgehog for a terrible crime! Over the course of years, she grows as an author, and as a friend to the blue blur and others.

The comic spans the entirety of modern sonic games really. Enjoy!

i should probably talk abt lila at some point on this blog 

so gamers, this is Lila Kitty. or Lila the Cat, technically, but i never clal her that. She is my sonic oc! My main one that I’ve had since I started drawing Sonic, really. 

her story is essentially that during SA2, she was the journalist who published a story that framed Sonic for stealing the Chaos Emerald, when it was really Shadow. sort of clearign up that whole “how did they mistake Shadow for Sonic when they look totally different” thing with an excuse of “No, everyone knew it wasn’t Sonic, but Lila here wanted fame and went the wrong way about getting it by framing him.”

she then tries to help clear his name no worries, and befriends Sonic, and becomes the rookie later in Sonic Forces. but thats a story for another time when i go into my ship with her and infinite but i dont wanna do that rn

some non-infinite ships ive had over the years with lila! as you can see I enjoy shipping her with my faves, and while Lila was never meant to be a full self insert - I certainly use her for self indulgent shipping purposes xD

((Um..yeah....I know I should have asked before drawing other people’s characters but honestly, I wanted this to be a surprise for them and if I’d have asked, it would have completely taken away the surprise ^^;;; Soo..yeah...I’m sorry ^^;;;; Huge apology for having such awful art too, but I just really wanted to do something nice for you guys ^^;;;;;; I wanted to do something nice for a few blogs that I follow that have characters I really like, art styles I adore but would not be able to pull off to save my life or just all around seem like really cool people. The first one, Electra Lawrence, belongs to my best friend/soul mate so of course she had to be on here. I’d never pass up the chance to draw her. Though considering I don’t know the name of my best friend’s Tumblr account- IF YOU COULD LIKE THIS PICTURE, THAT’D JUST BE GREAT, THANKS x’DDD- I put her DeviantArt name. Honestly, Ive known her going on five years now and her art has been my biggest inspiration. She’s the one who’s constantly driving me to keep drawing, to keep improving and without her, I would have stopped drawing years ago.  Next is Lila Kitty, who belongs to @jxrnalist. I’m fairly certain you were my first follower...maybe? Besides a few bots that is xD Honestly, I love Lila’s design and personality and your art is really amazing. I can’t help but like every picture you post- sorry if that’s annoying though - just because its either eye catching, expressive or pleasant to look at. I always look forward to seeing your art c: Combat the Cat is next who belongs to @combat-the-cat. Im not even kidding right now, I redrew her something like four or five times to get a pose I liked. I haven’t seen any art of her yet sooo..I figured Id be the first...unless something else has drawn her...in which case thanks for stealing my thunder e.e x’DDD To me, Combat seems like a really interesting character, despite her otherwise simple design. It looks to me like you’ve really thought out her backstory and I always love it when creators do that- trust me, I’ve sunk like seven years of my life into my characters so yeah....- I can’t wait to read more about her backstory and even her future adventures :D Last but not least is Clor the Wolf, who belongs to @rookie-mistake. Let me start off by saying, this little wolf is super adorable. But then Im not surprised because your art is also super adorable and unique! Again, I always love seeing your art in my dashboard and I wish I could draw like you. I’m interesting in seeing where your blog goes and what’s coming next ;3  Sooo yeah....that..about does it...^^;;;; If you’re wondering why each character has different shading, its because I made single versions of each but Im not happy with how they turned out sooo..I might have to look at redoing them when I get the time....^^;;; Hope you guys like it ^^;;;;))

Disasteraunt (CLOSED RP with AskShad-E)

 This was already setting up to be an awful plan, but Lila seemed rather oblivious to what the consequences would be before the evening’s end. Or perhaps she knew, and was just hoping for a miracle..Okay, maybe it was the latter. She seemed like that kind of person.

 “You gotta look nice!” Lila was saying, adjusting the tie on her date. “You wanna impress them, don’t you? Make them see how much more well-mannered you are?” She was only half joking, wondering if making it a competition would inspie him.

 Infinite growled, but said nothing, obviously holding back from saying something crude about them. Yes, them..They...they were not the exact picks Infinite would’ve chosen to be Lila’s friends...Though the word friend made him shiver ever so slightly. “Are you cold?” Lila asked, missing the context entirely.

 “N-no...I’m fine...” He mumbled, stepping away and loosening his tie. Lila huffed.

 “I just spent time fixing that!”

 “”You made it too tight.”

 “You’re just a big baby.” Lila sighed. She herself was wearing a pretty aquamarine dress - nothing too fancy, but it was nice enough. They weren’t actually going to too fancy of a restaurant, but Lila liked dressing up, so...

 “Are we going?”

 “That eager?”  Lila smiled, “We’re going now. We’re meeting Shadow and Eternal there.”

 “Don’t...say that name so loud...”

 “Shadow, Shadow, Shadow, Shadow -”

 Infinite snarled, and Lila laughed, and the two left for their double date....
