What parents can a beige-ish light grey cat with tabby markings have ? Asking bc I have an OC like that
I have two ideas for a cat like that, one more common and one fancy:
In this case at least one parent has to be a tabby, at least one dense (aka not diluted), both carry or express pointed and most likely neither has extreme white spotting (but full white is possible). The mother is black- or tortie-based, and if your oc was born female, then the father is black-based. (Otherwise he can be red.)
Again, at least one parent is a tabby, at least on is fully colored (as opposed to any type of colorpoint), both carry or express chocolate and dilution, and, again, most likely neither has extreme white spotting with full white being possible. Same with the orange gene, too: black- or tortie-based mother, and black-based father for a female offspring.
So, in both cases you have a lot of possibility, just don't make both parents solid.
If neither of these cats really matches your vision... well, you can always send a pic that shows a closer example, and i'll recalibrate.
