That pattern on the dress though!!!! May I ask where it's from?
It's a super old cat pattern set from 2013ish by SimmyCrystal (I think she used to be something else) but is gone now. I looked everywhere (old cc blogs, reblogs, wayback machine, the places we won't talk about) and only found this one post on My Sims 3 Blog - http://mysims3blog.blogspot.com/2013/08/cats-patterns-by-simmycrystal.html. Hi there! Thank you for your sheep mod, I love them SO MUCH! <3 I got two and named them Jesse and James and their antics are killing me. Gotta get a cat with them now. ANYWAY, I wanted to ask if you could maybe in a future update make the sheep available for edit town? I have no CAW skill and would love to see some sheep scattered around town. Thanks a billion in any case!

I was indeed going to do that! But doing it similair to the spawner boxes for insects. I still haven't found much time yet to get to it, since I'm also hard at work with the Interests & Hobbies mod, but I'll include it once I can!

And your sheep shouldn't die one by one... in fact, I'm particularly freezing the sheep's need when there are no 'owners' (aka your active sim).

Yep, it’s great! For me, CC Magic seems to freak out when I move files around within Windows File Explorer, so I just throw everything into “The Sims 3/Downloads” folder, open CC Magic and once the files have been imported in, I move them where they need to go. Have a look under the cut for more details. :-)
Here are my Legacy Folders within CC Magic.
I add the numbers at the beginning, so they stay in the order I want them, rather than appearing alphabetically.

And here’s my CC Magic Options tab.
All I did was add the exact name of my renamed Overrides folder with a higher priority (in the same format as my existing Resource.cfg file) in the Additional Resource.cfg Entries box.
Ignore what’s in the Game EXE Override box for now as that doesn’t affect this at all.

Thank you SO MUCH! What I mean with installing the overrides via CC Magic is that I just dumped them in the downloads folder, so CC Magic imported them and then I placed them in the "legacy" secion of CC magic with the other mods. Which means they ended up in the mods folder of the Sims 3 folder (if that makes any sense). Now though I put them directly in the overrides folder, just to be safe...
@lilidebergerac - Ah yes, I see what you mean now. I have my CC Magic folders set up differently from the default and have edited the "Additional Resource.cfg Entries" on the Options tab, so I can have an Overrides folder in CC Magic. This enables me to move mods wherever they need to go directly within CC Magic itself. :-)

Wow! Wish I had the patience to organise my mods the way you do. Maybe if I had started from the get-go. But now I have so much mods, it seems so daunting!
@simshai91 - Whenever I have a big organising job to do, I just tackle a few every day. It's surprising how quickly the job gets done when you look back and from then on, it's so easy to find what you're looking for. ;-)
Hi Sarah! Me again lol :D I am currently reorganizing my mods folder following you AWESOME "installed mods" page, and I have several questions if you don't mind! Is that page up to date or are there any mods that you installed since then? Could you please explain your renaming process, it seems very nifty :D I installed some overrides via CCMagic, is that maybe why I'm having some problems? And did you try Gamefreak130's job interview mod, or are you planning to? Thanks A LOT for your site!

Whoops! No, my installed mods page is not up to date lol! Last time I looked at it was in July 2018! My, how time flies! I’ve updated it now though. :D
I used to have my renaming process explained at the top of the page but I’ve since deleted it as it’s become a bit complicated over the years lol! I’ll try to detail it here (under the cut because there’s a LOAD of text lol!) but if you need more info, feel free to ask again.
I’m not quite sure what you meant by your comment about installing overrides via CC Magic and having problems. Maybe you could elaborate on this?
Gamefreak’s Job Interview mod is in my testing folder but I haven’t had any time to try it yet although yes, I’m certainly planning to.

My Mod Renaming Process
Note: Each part of the file name is separated by a hyphen/dash (-).
The first part refers to the type of mod, where I use the following codes:-
CORE = Core Mod
MISC_OTH = Other Miscellaneous Mod
MISC_OTH_DEPMOD = Other Miscellaneous Mod that depends on another mod being installed in order to work.
SCRIPT_DEPMOD = Script Mod that depends on another mod being installed in order to work.
SCRIPT_DEPOBJ = Script Mod that depends on a particular object being installed in order to work.
SCRIPT_OBJ = New object with its own scripting.
SCRIPT_PURE = Stand-Alone Script Mod that alters game behaviour.
TUN_ESS = Tuning Mod that I consider essential for my gameplay.
TUN_FIX = Tuning Mod that fixes EA errors.
TUN_OTH = Other non-essential Tuning Mod.
CAS_OV = Create-A-Sim item that must be placed in the Overrides Folder.
DR_OV = Default Replacement that must be placed in the Overrides Folder.
SCRIPT_OV = Script Mod that must be placed in the Overrides Folder.
STORE_FIX = Mod that fixes Store Content.
STORE_OV = Store Object Override/Tuning Mod that must be placed in the Overrides Folder.
TUN_OV = Tuning Mod that must be placed in the Overrides Folder.
TUN_OV_DEPMOD = Tuning Mod that must be placed in the Overrides Folder and depends on another mod being installed in order to work.
The second part is the creator’s name.
The third part refers to the site I downloaded the mod from. Where I abbreviate them, the full names are:-
ATS3 = Around The Sims 3
MATY = More Awesome Than You
MTS = Mod The Sims
NRAAS = NRaas Industries
NSA = TFM’s Naughty Sims Asylum
SIMALOGUE = The Simalogue 3 (No longer exists)
VARIOUS = Any other site
The fourth part is the exact name of the mod detailed on the site I downloaded it from.
The fifth part is the mods base game patch number(s) that it works with.
The sixth part refers to the latest date the mod was made or edited.
Hi there! Just curious, how do you guys organize your collections in TS3?
- Do you use them a lot or very little?
- Do you use CC magic to make your collections?
- Or do you make them in game?
- Are they by creator, by function, or something else?
- How do you add new content to them? Do you frantically search for every new item in the misc deco section like me or is there a better way?
- Approximately how many do you have?
- I use them a LOT!!
- I don’t use CC magic I remember trying it and having it create folders and like organizing things for me and me being: “Gaaaaah what are you doing!?!!” Pretty much the same feeling I got when my then 6 yo niece Biby decided to add ‘Pretty colors!!’ to the drawing I had spent hooours making for a graphic novel....Yep that feeling exactly... So I gave up on CC Magic (not on my niece though, she is 16 now ! ^^)
- I do make them in game or mostly use the ones I downloaded and complete them with things downloaded elsewhere – for instance I have all the ones provided by Sandy and then I’m adding things that are not from her website. So to the ATS3 sport collection folder I’m going to add those deco sneakers or boxing gloves or to the laundry one, I’ll add deco items from Ambitions...etc.
- They are organized by theme – I've got a Build one, 2 for the Kitchen (lots of lil deco items in one, the other is more restaurant oriented) a Sports one, a Bedroom kiddie one, a Travel one, a Crêpe one (that nutella jar needed to go somewhere ;-P)...
- I try to add items to a collection folder (sometimes two different ones if themes are overlapping) when I stumble upon them so I rarely go into frantic research mode, though have done so on occasion ^^
- Gaaah don’t make me count. I don’t know... lots! Though they are not all always full. I’ve organized my cc according to the towns and their themes so I place/remove the cc files depending on what town I want to play but don’t bother removing the collection folder. For instance I have a full Rockets, Aliens and Space collection folder for when I play my Strangetown but it sits empty when I play other towns because I’ve removed the cc as I dont need these items there.

I like to try to have a bit of body diversity in my game as I do often fall into the cookie cutter trap with sims, so I appreciate you saying that :D
