continuation (p1 and p2)
Had been wanting to do a collage of the best parents in bl for awhile and finally got to it tonight. Six colors. Took about two and a half hours.
Korn Theerapanyakul as played by Kob Songsit (KinnPorsche)
Tony as played by S Vorarit (Pit Babe)
Lilly as played by Parn Thanaporn (The Heart Killers)
About my limited palette pieces: As a paper artist I try to look at pieces and see where I would make cut lines when I work as if I was doing a layered paper piece. These studies let me practice that and make something pretty along the way. I do these by drawing over the original pieces and deciding at what point a color should break while zoomed into a ridiculous degree. While I could draw these all from reference without drawing over the piece that’s not the point or purpose of these studies. They’re not about my ability to draw the human form (from live figures or photo reference). I’ve done that plenty. I’m much more interested in how I might take a full color image and break it down enough that I could potentially cut it out of a very small range of colors in paper. Enjoy!
Fadel and Bison's relationship with Lilly is so interesting, because Fadel would do anything she ordered but doesn't fully trust her (and she's possibly one of the reasons he talks about only being able to give 80% to Style), whereas Bison, who would NOT just do anything Lilly orders, trusts her implicitly.

In between watching episode 11 and 12, I was just kinda getting used to/accepting the fact that Lillys arrest and trial or whatever wasn't shown. A small ending seemed fitting for someone who thinks so much of themselves and whose biggest brag is how big their influence is. It makes them seem less significant and, well, smaller.
But i guess bringing her back makes sense as well. It fits in line with the theme of no matter how obviously wrong something might seem, justice won't always be served just because you're right or smarter. In the system, we (and they) live in money is power, so it is realistic for them to show this.
I felt similar when watching Jack and Joker as well. I expected them to outsmart Boss, but instead, the 4 horsemen stepped in and used their power to save the day and solve the problem. Cuz that was a running theme as well in the show.
I'm not the biggest fan of deus ex machine and a character coming back after never really leaving, but I gotta admit in shows about crime (and most importantly the ways marginalized and less fortunate people are forced into crime) it is logical that the main characters fail to stop the enemy on their own in the 'morally just way' and need a weapon provided by someone more powerful then them (Lillys poison in thk) to finish the job. It shows quite well just how weak they are in a system where power is everything and how morals and murder are nuanced.
This was the episode of peak couple dynamics.
Kant & Bison: Flirting and nearly having sex while stalking Bison's ex-hitwoman mom
Fadel & Style: Arguing, guns and kidnapping
