How did you come up with Cyra? What inspired you to make her? Where were they born? Does she like her parents/what’s relationship with them like? What do they like to do in free time?

I don't remember exactly how I came up with them, but I do know that the first thing I thought of was a Fire Genasi Barb whose flames get hotter when they rage. (This was very obviously inspired by Karlach from Baldur's Gate 3, lmao.)
I was talking to @goldenwaves when I found out that we were switching campaigns, and I was brainstorming, and I decided that I wanted to play a barbarian. Because I really like playing martial (melee combat) classes, and I couldn't come up with another paladin other than Asola, and I have banned myself from playing two rogues at once. And since I had at one point played a barbarian in Pathfinder, but decided I hated Pathfinder's rulings on barbs. So I decided to play a barb in dnd.
Originally I thought I was gonna play berserker subclass, but then Izzy reminded me that Storm Herald exists and literally already has a flame mechanic built into it. So I was sold on that. (I should note that this is an elemental-based campaign, so playing a genasi was just the right thing to do.)
The rest of this is going to have to be a little bit vague, because two of my fellow players follow this account, and I refuse to spoil Big Things for them. But I will do my best to still answer your questions!
Cy was born in this very small town at the base of a volcano. Above the town, higher up the slopes of the volcano, was a temple. Both of their parents were scholars who studied and worked at the temple.
Her parents died when she was 6 years old, but she was very close with them up until that point. Who knows how that might have changed if she had gotten to grow up with them.

Right now, when she's not working, Cyra mostly spends her free time in taverns, either drinking, talking, or fighting. She's a traveling mercenary before the campaign begins, and has traveled across multiple continents. They keep to themselves when working, but they enjoy socializing in some form after a job is done.
