Today, my best friends completed their college journey. I met my best human, the person who showed me unconditional love, my big sister, when she was just about to graduate from high school. To watch her grow through this moment in time over these past four years has been nothing short of inspiring and remarkable - not to mention the friends she brought into my life on the way.
They didn’t even pause before considering me a friend too - they made the city feel like a home when no one else would, or could, took me in, held me tight on my worst days and laughed with me on my best - and let me crawl into their beds in the early hours of the morning after I had slept on the couch, maybe for nights at a time. These women taught me more about the importance of life and living than maybe anyone else in my life - and I cannot wait to see the next incredible steps on their journey. To my lindsay, my nicole, my brooke, and of course my isabella, thank you for the love, the memories, the shared smiles, laughter, tears, and more - thank you for holding my hand and hugging me tight - thank you for giving me the courage to do this too. life isn’t ready for you kickass women, but it’s just gonna have to deal with you taking it over. I love you, and I can’t wait to walk by your side on the rest of this journey.
