Liminal Gates (named after liminal spaces) and Clockwork are friends. Liminal Gates is my OC, the gate keeper (ha) of the Fenton portal. They oversee which ghosts can cross -much to Danny’s frustration.

sometimes (if Liminal is in good enough of a mood) danny can bribe them to keep the gate closed. Usually so he can study for an exam.

Liminal is in a good mood often, but not always to Danny’s benefit. Being a -whatever Liminal is, they don’t really have the same perspective of the on goings of ghosts and humans. They do things they want, morality be damned. .

..They got a bit of a sweet tooth. sweets are more often than not what they want.

Now that Chapter 1 of my AU has been posted I can freely talk about Gates being Danny's new ghost buddy.

Liminal Gates is the literal bridge between the two worlds, part of their soul is permanently attached to Danny's. Gates can see through Danny's eyes while living as the portal, stuck in the laboratory. (they're not literally floating around Danny but comics are visual medium)

Did I do this just so I could keep using 2nd person? Yeah. But does it also spice things up and makes Danny's life harder? Also yeah, so that justifies it in my book.

Danny's a human who's become half ghost, Gates is a ghost who's become half human. I think that's a fun dynamic!
