Words become barriers.

We establish these filters.

When everything was meant to be

Unconventional

The absence of rules

The essence of freedom?

Crashing waves

Unhindered in their flow ~

Help

I’m knocking on the door

Asking

But I don’t know the words.

I write a million down

Pleading

But the meanings hard to translate.

Communication is key

But the heart doesn’t feel with language.

Metaphors can’t really fit

And I still wish to ask.

So thank you for the ones who listen

Who read between the letters.

Thank you for the understanding

And the help you put through.

Not just help in finding my words

Or in being able to ask and plead

But in listening to the silent pleas

And helping answer everything.

Perhaps you weren’t perfect

Or had to ask for help yourself

But thank you for just listening

And helping others understand too.
