Oh gosh, anon! I’m sorry for taking so long to answer this! But yay! Another easy question! I believe I’ve said this before but there’s no way I could handle Jenos’ habit of flirting with every pretty lady that comes along, plus I’m really, really not into commitment (even a month long one) so a one-night stand with Lin definitely wins out!

Thanks! I’m so glad to see some of these fandoms are still active. I was really worried a few of them (like Black Cat) were going to be too small or inactive to have any asks come in. I’m so glad I was wrong though. I hope these will be okay - Lin’s one slippery bastard to write for (but a ton of fun).

2-4 songs that are probably on their iPod:   While Lin has many different iPods, each with their own uniqueplaylists, he doesn’t personally own one. Each different iPod in his possessionis used as part of one of his disguises, whether it’s being carried on hisperson or if it simply has songs that persona enjoys and that Lin would listento to help him shift into that person. Lin, himself, though, as I’ve said,doesn’t own anything to listen to music on. He honestly really doesn’t evenlike music too much. He much prefers the tranquil sound of silence. It’s nottoo often he gets any peace and quiet after all.

the one place they sometimes end up falling asleep:   Other people’s beds. And yes, I mean that in exactly the way you think Ido. I think that, out of any of the characters in Black Cat, Lin would be theone most at ease with one night stands. He doesn’t have the time, nor much personalinclination, for a relationship but he is only human. He has urges, just likeeveryone else and a one-night stand solves that problem. He has no troublefinding willing partners and usually ends up crashing in their beds over-night.He’ll wake early and be out of there before the sun is even fully up, usuallywithout even waking his bed-partner up.

the game they’d destroy everyone else at:   While not technically games, Lin is fantasticboth at optical illusions and Where’sWaldo? He’s also a genius when it comes to brain teasers. You cannot stumpthis man with riddles, slider games, or anything of the sort. He’ll almostalways figure them out within ten minutes, usually within five. 

the emoticon they’d use most often:   Again, this really depends on which persona Lin isusing that day. Each persona will have their own unique text quirks andfavourite emotes. Lin, without any persona, doesn’t text. He’ll always call. Hehates how cold and impersonal texts feel and how easily misconstrued or misunderstoodthey can be. The last one is particularly an issue with him as he struggles toexpress himself properly through written words to begin with and especiallythrough such short messages.

what they act like when they haven’t had enough sleep:   I hate to break it to you, but Lin withoutsleep is exactly like Lin with sleep.Like all Chrono’s members, Lin was put through the sleep deprivation training.He excelled at it. It’s almost impossible to tell if Lin is tired or not. Hisexpression rarely changes, his mood never wavers, and any physical signs arequickly disguised. Seriously, nobody even knows if this man sleeps. They figurehe has too but nobody in the Numbers has ever seen him sleep. (Additionalheadcanon: this is because Lin is actually a hugely sloppy sleeper. He drools, sprawlsall over the bed, moves around a lot, and mumbles in his sleep. It’s actuallykind of cute.)

their preferred hot beverage:   Coming as no surprise, Lin really enjoys tea. For day to day, commonusage, Lin enjoys jasmine tea, especially the ones made with white tea leavesinstead of green. For special occasions, he really enjoys Chinese teaceremonies, always with a variety of oolong tea.

how they like to comfort/care for themselves:   If any character in the history of the worldwas most likely to meditate, it would be Lin. He’s all about the peaceful andhealing properties of peace, quiet, and the cleansing of the mind. He alwaysmeditates in a darkened room, preferably one without windows (though he willcover windows with heavy, dark fabric if need be). He doesn’t like music whenhe’s meditating and won’t chant. Just silence. He will burn incense or candlesthough. He’s very sensitive to smells and pleasant, calming aromas such assandalwood or vanilla can really help him unwind.

what they wanted to be when they grew up:   I can see Lin being a silent film buff. He’s loved them since he wasvery, very small. I think he would’ve wanted to be an actor because of them.Not a modern day actor though – he has no desire at all to be rich and famous,with his face splashed everywhere. No, he dreamt of the myriad weird andwonderful costume and make-up choices, the overdone drama and theatricality ofthe old silent films. Lon Chaney would’ve been one of his all-time heroes.

their favorite kind of weather:   Lin has no weather preferences himself. He can appreciate the beauty ofall types of weather. However, he does really like rainbows, so the momentright after it’s stopped raining and that rainbow is just starting to spreadacross the sky is absolutely wonderful to him. He also particularly enjoysmornings, being a natural early bird and he regularly watches the sunrisewhenever possible.

thoughts on their singing voice:   Can Lin sing? Most definitely. Can he singwell? Yes. Does he sing? Probably not. Has anyone ever heard him sing, or evenhum? That’s a definite no.

how/what they like to draw or doodle:   Mandalas. Vines, with lots of flowing, interlocking stalks. Puzzlepieces, all neatly linking together. Basically, Lin, while not someone whodoodles a whole lot, easily distracts himself by jotting intricate patternswhenever he gets very bored and can’t find anything better to do.
