I don't know about you, but there's nothing I love more than hate watching movies with friends (even if said friends are just trying to enjoy the film). Whenever bookstagrammers fill their stories with terrible films + their commentary I'm all in (I'm looking at you @grumpyreads, @clumsy.words, and @mksreading.) 🍿 I don't think I ever would have picked this up on my own, but when I was #gifted the audiobook by @librofm I thought I'd give it a chance and I'm so very glad I did. Listening to the audiobook, I feel like @thelindywest is my new BFF and we've been rewatching an old favourite a night to hate on it and see how it holds up to 2020 standards. I don't even need to even see The Notebook anymore, she describes it in such a perfect and hilarious way. So I didn't know that Shrill the tv series was based off of the writing of this book much less this author... I know, that's pretty bad but I loved that series because it resonated with me on so many levels. So many levels...⁠ ⁠ There's so much to commend Weston for just putting down on paper which might not gel with everyone.
