When I'm alone, I think of you. Perhaps that feeling is called longing.

This poem is called "Unsent Verses" by an anonymous author. I thought of it last time I was without you.

In the quiet night, I pen my heart's call, / Yearning poems, love letters never sent at all. Beneath the stars, your name dances in the air, / Each verse a whisper, woven from shadows tall. Waking up to the woman he loved was enough to set him happy the rest of his life. Her strands plastered to her forehead, sleep still fluttering behind her eyelids. For a while he could just listen but he feared falling back to sleep. Well, not that it sounded like a terrible idea. They still had... a few more minutes.

Discreetly he manages to set their alarm a little after, and then settles his arms around her. Briefly he sets his lips softly on to hers to steal a kiss before nestling into her chest.
