oh fun health update i have ibs-c apparently (it’s a working dx at the moment) and i’ve have it since i deadass left the womb. the highest dose of linzess isn’t working which means i’m probably gonna have to do some tests that i would rather not do solely for my mental health and self esteem but our current theory is ibs-c and a pelvic floor issue of some kind that i’ve had since birth soooooo 💅
on the bright side the pregabalin seems to be doing nothing negative so we can up the dose and see if it helps!!!
it use to be $330 but its gone up to $498 to get my insurance to cover it (they'… KIMBERLY DANIEL needs your support for Help Me Get My Prescription Medicine

So I’ve taken linzess for a couple months now, and it is a medication you definitely don’t want to take if you don’t have to. I have no choice. TMI ahead.
I have IBS-C and the DEA is coming after people on two different kinds of opioids. It’s kind of a moot point anyway, because I’ve suspected my tramadol might be causing tardive diskenesia. So in October I’m not getting any more tramadol and am getting the equivalent in Norco. The only reason I considered it even feasible is now I have linzests. Tramadol is not as constipating as Norco. But the DEA doesn’t care and I want my neck and mouth to feel normal again.
I still take miralax too, so the combination of linzess and miralax means if I don’t remain hydrated, they won’t work. If I get too dehydrated, it causes a really bad headache.
One thing I’ve don’t to help is get Gatorade (G2 necause original has too much sugar) because sometimes it’s easier to hydrate that way than just plain water. Sometimes water is just to boring and I forget to keep drinking. If I got a glass of iced Gatorade, I keep drinking.
Linzess has also increased the instances of labor shits, which is something I hate going through but I do feel so much better after. I basically get stuck into the toilet until my entire gut is empty. There is labor levels of pain as the shit moves towards your colon. There’s also nausea and hot flashes, which makes it happening in the summer a particular form of hell. It can take ten to twenty minutes, but after, omg do I feel so much less pressure and general crappy feelings.
That’s the only time I have a complete bowel movement. The only time I get close to that is when I go on the toilet like 5 times in couple of hours, which is how today is going. Otherwise, I’ll either go to the bathroom once, relieve a little pressure but still remain backed up. And as much as I hate labor shits, I’d rather that than no poop at all. Means I’m gearing up for a severe backlog, which is never fucking fun.
I’m not looking forward to the challenges being solely on Norco will bring. Sometimes, of all the chronic ailments I have, I just wish I could shit normally.
Had a bad time yesterday. Kinda wanted to die. I could’ve cried if I wasn’t so out of it. Be careful if you take Linzess. It helps you but also hurts you.
WELCOME TO MY GLAMOROUS LIFE WITH GP
I woke up to discover that after eating froyo last night and taking my linzess I shit myself during my sleep. I then ate breakfast and immediately threw it up!!!!
THIS IS GR8. Such a wonderful life. Awesome way to live. Luv it ✌🏽
Any of my fellow chronically ill or POTSie followers ever taken Linzess for gastroparesis symptoms? I'm feeling kinda miserable the first few days on it but they said it will get better.
I got Linzess!
I have tried multiple times with different insurances to get this IBS-C drug and always denied. Finally decided to see what Medicare care do for me, and I walked home with a bottle of linzess today. I am so fucking excited to try it, but it’s a morning med so I start tomorrow. In the meantime today is my second day without a bowel movement so I have downed a lot magnesium (miralax) with Gatorade. I have discovered, for me at least, miralax does it’s best job with some Gatorade. Anyway, I’ll let you all know how linzess goes. Crossing my fingers for somewhat normal pooping.
