AUTISTIC JOY!!!

A lot of the disability stuff on here can be kinda bleak so I wanted to share the pure JOY I am experiencing today. I got my first pair of noise canceling over the ear headphones in years and they’re not only comfortable but work phenomenally!!!

Anyone with their own instances of disabled joy autistic or otherwise they’d like to share please feel free to flood me with them!

i think people underestimate the power of sitting. sitting down has saved my life. i sit in the shower, i sit to cook, i sit to get dressed, i sit and now i can do those things more and enjoy doing them now because i’m not in unbearable pain from standing!

Brain Frogs

the moment i trusted my dr and her diagnosis: i was expressing my frustration to her about my symptoms getting worse and i said “i don’t know what else to do” and she said

“figuring out what to do isn’t your job, that’s mine”

in that moment i knew that she would have my back no matter what diagnosis came up or if it changes at all

Two weeks ago the sun came out and I went so insane that I made multiple phone calls

This resulted in me having three routine reproductive healthcare appointments in under a week, starting today

What is wrong with me lmao

Anyway I'm still making good progress with pelvic floor PT, I got some advice on the one bit I was struggling with, disclosed my autism diagnosis because it's probably affecting my coordination and interoception (and therefore the reason why I couldn't do that one thing), and I might be discharged by the end of the year???? Amazing
