I didn't know you had an addiction. The side-effects of withdrawal are not fun. Still, it'll be better for your body and the people around you once you're off hard drugs.
There is no other version. 'Detoxing' as regards to 'cleansing' is marketing speak and has no dietary benefits or basis. Sorry.
But I feel cleansing does great stuff for my colon and body!
if you have a problem with your colon, go see a doctor. Your colon is a highly efficient extractor of nutrients and way to get rid of the poisons in your body. Don't fuck it up by interfering with it.
You're stressing your kidneys. Let me explain why kidney failure is a bad idea.
Has any of this been approved by any doctors? Named doctors? With research to back it up? Human trials where they carefully noted the results? (Just animal aren't good enough. Different species, different results. you know how chocolate is poisonous to dogs but one of humanity's most happy-making foodstuffs? That.) Because trust me, if a major weight loss/new miracle ingredient actually worked, that would be all over the medical sector of the internet. There would be any number of papers and articles. Not just in the lifestyle blogs, none of whom appear to be qualified dietitians.
But I lost a bunch of weight when I did a liquid cleanse!
Yep. Fluid. That's most of it. Often includes laxatives to make you shit more.
Once you stopped starving yourself, your body went into anti-starvation mode and extracted as many calories from the food you ate and stored it as fat in case it happened again. So you now have more fat than before you went on the cleanse.
I feel brilliant! Mental clarity!
also headaches, hallucinations, light headedness, stomach pains...
I've heard of these symptoms. Oh, I know: STARVATION. Go on, ask people who can't afford to eat and rely on foodbanks if they're familiar with these symptoms.
