This little person has been causing lots of mischief this week and making poor mum & dad worry! Thankfully, today the midwives have told us that he seems to be settling in for the remainder of his stay and that he's happy and healthy. He's a cheeky little buggar already 👶🏻 I am now going to hibernate for the rest of the week to try and regain some of my own strength 😣😴 #littlenipper #feelingsorryformyself (at Countess Of Chester Hospital)

I love that they’re wearing they’re little unicorn slippers in Tesco and just munching on some banana bread with my Grandma happily pushing them along and picking up some cooking and baking ingredients 👵🏻 I hope she can teach me to bake and cook like her while I’m recovering. I’m always go, go, go and now I’m having to be slow, slow, slow and needing to lay down upstairs and missing out on a lot right now. But it’s only for a short time compared to what I will be able to do after this recovery. I just need to keep telling myself that to remind me to take it as slow and easy as I can. 🐢

On the topic of Robyn's cake...

She freaked me out by saying "And what about the fifth elephant?"

I'm at a stage in the books where, thus far, there are only four. I almost had a breakdown when she asked.

Because I love her, I baked Robyn a cake for her 21st. This is what I did:

I started out decorating the elephants

Then I shaped the cake, wrapping it in a layer of marzipan and then icing, and than painting it. (It's fruitcake as she's not a massive fan of sponge cake.)

Whilst this was drying, I created the Disc.

(For those of you who are wondering, I got it as close to the original map as I could:

Then, when all was done, I stacked it up as it was supposed to be. 

I did paint eyes onto the turtle but I didn't get a picture past this point. Oh, I also added a tail.

I got my mojo back. I lost it for a while, but I got it back. I'm a cake-baking Goddess once more.
