I taught a new culinary class yesterday in partnership with @slowfoodnyc and I had the honor of teaching students from Ms. Chu's Garden Club! Ms. Chu told me it's not just a cooking club or gardening club, but a high tech club! She's an engineer and computer programmer who emphasises to her students, the intersect between modern technology and forward progress in providing food and nourishment. Ms. Chu applied for grants to grow a hydroponic garden at the school and she GOT THE GRANT! I had the pleasure to see all of the pieces soon to be a thriving garden! This little gadget is another tool she has to show her students. It's not expensive and easy to get and it's super impressive to watch in action!
