Paragon’s personalities
So I don’t know if we get an explanation later (I’m halfway through ship of destiny) but a lot of times Paragon is referred to as having two personalities, one a little boy who is nervous but wants to please and the other an older angrier man (possibly where he gets his violent tendencies?
But I was wondering the actual cause of this duality as to me there seem two potential sources:
1) the fact that the wizardwood used to make him cane from two different dragon ‘cacoons’. His plants ect never properly line up because of this. Are these two conflicting personality the underlying personalities of the dragons residing in his wizardwood?
Or
2) is the nervous boy persona as a result of all the memories and pain he took from Kennit as a child? And the older gruffer personality is the one that is truely his?
Or maybe a third option is that it’s a combination of both? One of the dragons/aspects of his personality was young, boyish and fun but then Kennits emotions and memories made him scared? And the older dragons reaction to this was to become violent?
Do we also think that Paragon’s madness is due to this internal conflict of the two dragons and that he’d always have gone mad no matter his circumstances or do we just think it’s a direct result of his time as a pirate ship?
