5 Things that make me happy

Plants. I love plants. I love all kinds of plants and would wrap my walls outside and inside with English ivy and have raised flower and vegetable beds and plant trees in my backyard if I could. I love the act of caring for them. I love watching them grow. I love that I am accountable for their growth, and it isn’t a god complex type thing where I like the power; I like the responsibility. I have a “Money Tree” and a tea rose plant. I also have a small succulent garden I tend to.
Exercise. I love the endorphins and the rush and runner’s high. I don’t do it as much as I want to, but I intend to do it more and more. I have a membership to the YMCA, the only thing is I need to be held accountable and actually GO THERE. (If anyone has tips or can bug me with reminders, that’d be great.) I love cardio, but I love strength-training too and improving/getting stronger. I love dancing in particular, but I’m a terrible dancer.
#GMH and #PostItForward are great hashtags to look through. In them, you’ll find wisdom and hope and happiness. “GMH” was a response to “FML” and it means “gives me hope.” The original site is sadly not up anymore, but it was wonderful. In the same vein, The Good News Network is another great one and much needed.
Solidarity. When people embrace their differences and at the same time find a common goal that benefits the world. That makes me really happy. The marches, the protest, the history of resistance -- this is what makes the human species beautiful. THIS is what community is about. /rant
Creativity. I don’t know if this really counts as writing is like chewing glass and thus is painful as hell, but painting, photography, the act of creation is really important to me and I couldn’t live without it. It stabilizes me. It inspires me. It builds my self confidence. So yes, I guess it makes me happy!

Back at it and oh so happy to be here
Learning to not put so much pressure on myself when it comes to running and fitness...
Easier said than done
Be careful what you wish for. I wasn’t in a very motivated mood for my workout this morning and kept thinking about how nice it would be to have an excuse to stop. Half a mile later, I tripped hard and ate it. I then hobbled back to my apartment with very bloody, stiff knees and now will be missing one to two more days of running.
Had a not so great run today. Couldn’t fully finish my 10 miles and my body isn’t happy. I feel slow and sluggish. Tips on how to feel less shitty would be appreciated
Ran with a friend for the first time in a while today and it felt like we were flying.
