Courage

“Live with Courage in your Bones”

All I could think about was this phrase last night while I was at the gym doing Crush Day 4. I started my workout at 11:00PM, didn’t leave until 12:30AM. I was the only girl in the gym, and there were 5 other men busting ass in that weight room. I thought about how I kept having to check videos to make sure my form was correct, but that I now had the courage to enter the weight room again. 

My gym is separated into a co-ed weight room, and a women’s only weight room. The co-ed one is lined with mirrors, and has all of the free weights. The women’s weight room has no mirrors, no free weights, and is in a tiny room with only machines. What message is that sending to women? Before I would only use this weight room because of self-esteem, and not being where I wanted as far as body strength. 

But there I was last night, in the weight room. 

I thought about all the other people who are gaining the courage to go into the weight room because of Crush. Thank you so much for the knowledge, the support, and the assistance.
