True nature is closer than you think. Today marks the start of National Wildlife Refuge Week! From October 11-17, 2020, we'll be highlighting national wildlife refuges across the country, like this misty fairytale scene from Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Virginia. As one of the 568 national wildlife refuges scattered across the country managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, we're constantly blown away by this incredible network of amazing lands and waters. They serve as an oasis where wildlife and visitors can seek a quiet escape from development. Whether you're a photographer, hiker, hunter, birder, angler, biker or someone who enjoys time with family and friends outside, join us in sharing your stories around these special places. There's so much beauty to be found, and a wildlife refuge within 50 miles of most major cities. Photo courtesy of Risha Isom. #usinterior #LiveYourWild
