i actually do have some questions about adrian 🧐☝🏻 first of all, what's his personality like? i'm sensing some extreme sarcasm in this one (going fully off vibes here but i feel like he'd have a very nice deep voice that seth would really like, especially cuz of the tutoring bit) (damn he really is a disease i jumped on this ship so fast its not even funny 😭 aaron why did you do this to me 😭)
secondly, so i see seth as someone who is pretty close to wymack because. it's wymack. and i wanna knoooowww if coach likes adrian. like did he, as usual, clock them before seth even knew?

ok ok first things first: personality
adrian is kind of opposite to seth and also pretty similar. like he's not great at making friends but once he knows you and you're in his mental folder of People(👍) then he's pretty easy to talk to
possibly almost definitely pretty autistic, because i have met very few engineers who aren't
smooth talker when he's TRYING to flirt, which is RARE but like. when he's doing it you'll know. he's bisexual too so it's a win for everyone
can't sing but seth can so <3
unfiltered as in he will literally just say immediately what he's thinking without first considering like. politeness or. impact on others. this as you can imagine doesn't lend itself super well to having loads of friends, because he can be harshly honest at times but usually usually, he is trying to be nice. he used to combat his lack of filter by just not talking in middle/high school, which he has been working on unlearning throughout college but it takes a while
he has a huge tattoo on his back of the Saturn V rocket, which is what sent the Apollo missions to the moon, active between 1967-1973. the tattoo took three sessions and has like a full blueprint and schematics. he's a fucking nerd ok
he IS very sarcastic & very quick to contradict seth downplaying himself or trying to give up. adrian is stubborn as a fucking rock and that's part of why they work– he hasn't known seth this whole time so he hasn't had the chance to write him off as a lost cause. adrian is of the opinion that any problem can be solved, anything can be fixed you just need the right solution, and that kind of relentlessness is actually good for seth once he gets over his initial instinct to pull away.

spoilers ahead but i cant confirm ill ever properly write a fic for them so
SETH & WYMACK IS HUGELY IMPORTANT TO ME wymack in seth's early years had a similar attitude to adrian: you just need a second chance, and another, and another. but then seth overdosed three times, and wymack really thought they'd lost him after the ravens, so when seth comes back wymack tells him like. you're here for another season so i'm still your coach and i'm gonna back you up. but you have to promise me you will get through this year. so seth promises him without thinking about how he's going to keep it, but wymack is always cautious, always watching him a little more, always a little uneasy when the foxes go out. but seth promised, so wymack is going to trust him again, because he deserves it. but unlike adrian, he isn't putting all of his faith in it
now here's the funny part about seth/adrian. THREE people kind of know and if they combined the information they had they would all figure it out. but they don't.
the first is wymack, who guesses that seth is at least friends with somebody outside of the foxes, possibly hooking up with someone, unsure, but it's evident because seth and allison are broken up for good now and seth isn't as volatile as he is usually. once in a while he'll take a direction from kevin without starting a fight. he'll get through a whole semi conversation with nicky without calling him a slur. like. it's not as obvious to the other foxes because they're not paying as much attention, but wymack guesses. basically, wymack doesn't know adrian at all, but he's seeing the effects.
the second person is neil. neil knows adrian by association, they're in similar classes (engineering majors are just math majors who deal with more hard facts than theoretics). neil would probably recognise adrian if he saw him, but doesn't think about him otherwise and doesn't know adrian knows seth
the third and final person is, hilariously, aaron.
aaron knows seth & adrian know each other. with mutual friends in stem circles, aaron's met adrian a couple times but they're not more than acquaintances. aaron sees seth and adrian in the library multiple times, but thinks nothing of it because he does not give a singular fuck.
what makes this hilarious is the following scenario
long story short, seth & adrian eventually get outed because they were at a party and accidentally were caught in the background of a couple pictures not leaving room for jesus. gossip travels fast and this eventually makes it back to the foxes. seth's face is visible in the pictures, adrians isn't, but it's evidently not a girl so
(i have this scene written somewhere but i cant find it rn) anyway so someone asks what his name is and seth tells them and wymack, neil, and aaron all have three separate reactions:
"huh. wasn't expecting that."
"adrian? like linear algebra adrian?"
"oh, that adrian. interesting."
humorous to me.
coach i think would like adrian once he'd met him a couple times, mostly because he can see the way adrian kind of forces seth to actually solve problems instead of ignoring them. adrian doesn't necessarily sand down some of seth's sharper edges, but more redirects them to a little less destructive avenues. does all this without realising btw
coach would be less enthusiastic about the fact that adrian has all the drive and ability to probably make a pretty good athlete, if he gave a fuck about sports which he does not
