Hello! I know that you are a youngster and are thus probably not familiar with Space Cases, which was a Nickelodeon TV show in 1996 and 1997, but it seems like a thing that you and your followers might enjoy checking out. It's a lot like Star Trek and even has George Take as a guest star in one episode. I've recently discovered that it is all on YouTube and I need other people to know about this and be excited with me because almost nobody else I talk to has even heard of this show. (Fair warning: The stuff on YouTube was very obviously recorded on a VHS tape in 1996 and then uploaded to YouTube many years later, so the picture quality is Not Great but I still strongly recommend it.)

I don’t know if it’ll be my thing because I checked out the basic premise and it seems a little bit too kid oriented for my taste but on the other hand I am an enjoyer of crappy sci fi ensemble shows so it has a chance

@the anon whose mom gives them a hard time about needing to be taught things other kids don't need to be taught - as a middle school teacher, I can tell you that many kids need to be taught these things. I've shown kids the right way to use the stapler. I've talked kids through how to wipe down a table. And obviously some kids do manage to just pick these things up and some kids learn them faster than others, but if your mom assumes that other kids just know these things then she is wrong.

Bitch night: Odo didn't need a romantic ship, he and Kira should have just stayed platonic besties because (1) Odo is clearly aroace, and (2) it would be really nice to see more media where a guy and girl can be friends without having to fuck.

I agree so hard every time Kira and Odo are romantic in any way it makes me so so uncomfortable lm sorry to people who like it but there is just no chemistry there at all

Bitch Night 2: As much as Voyager is a hot mess in a lot of ways, the worst episode by far is Before and After because it's painfully obvious that nobody in the writer's room thought there was anything off about Harry marrying Tom's daughter who he literally held as an infant like three years before.

I know it’s so terrible!!! I think voyager might’ve been the absolute worst at writing relationships out of all the shows they were either creepy, made no sense, or both. How did no one get that a man dating someone he literally held as a baby is weird

Bitch Night 3: It's really annoying that with the exception of Rejoined all of the canon queer characters in DS9 (which is the only 90s-era Trek with queer characters) are in the mirror universe. Let the Ezri in our universe be gay, dammit!

Ezri in our universe can be gay if we simply manifest it and also ignore any and all canon that states otherwise

An interesting fact about me: When I was in DARE class in eighth grade (which in case you don't know is this thing in the US where they have a cop come in once a week and teach you about the dangers of illegal drugs) and they told us that when you get pulled over for suspected drunk driving one of the things they do is ask you to recite the alphabet backwards, I went, "Crap, I can't do that normally," and then learned it and can still do it no trouble. I realize now this defeats the point.

That never made any sense to me tbh.

Semi-related fact about me: I have never managed to actually get drunk despite actively trying a couple times
