The consulting detective’s initial reaction to the other man’s remark was to snap back by saying “no shit Sherlock”. However, seeing how that line is more than often used on him in cases such as these, he opted to hold his tone. Not to mention those three words have a harsh connotation to it. Instead, he let out a deep sigh, trying to keep his temper in check as he choose his words carefully. "At the very least I can try-- let's hear it, neh?" Obviously he wouldn't understand at first, but that doesn't mean he wasn't going to try.

♖ for a childhood headcanon.

There were times when Woobin tried to be genuinely nice and friendly towards people in secondary school. However, he found they were too dismissive of him and didn’t want to talk to him because he seemed too rude; so he stopped trying.

☮ for an embarrassing headcanon.

When Woobin was younger, his parents would read him a bed time story whenever they could. One highly requested book he would suggest them read was The Hobbit. As they read to him each night, he would pretend he was Smaug, the dragon.

⊗  for a completely random headcanon.

When Woobin is around young children and feels the need to swear, he would spell out his swear words in the NATO phonetic alphabet. For example he would say something like, ❝ What the Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo are you on about? ❞
