still can't believe my danandphilstore llama hat™ vanished from this plane of existence like 6 years ago. it is literally Nowhere to be found. we've renovated shit. we've emptied entire rooms in the meantime. It. Is. Nowhere.
EDIT: IT',s BEEN 8 YEARS I forgot my age and the neverending march of time
You will not get this 4 minutes of your life back if you watch this. I'm sure these are going to become more and more unhinged the more of them I make, so...
Drama Llama hat pattern here.
Drama Llama physical actual hats here.
I love my llama hat.
I’d like to share something with you all. And that is my love for @danielhowell ‘s ridiculous llama hat. I will never ever find this hat cringey. This hat is important to me. And I will tell you why.
I have serious anxiety problems. But whenever I wear my hat, it makes me feel more relaxed. There’s probably science there, like the pressure helps the same way a weighted blanket would, but that doesn’t matter. What matters is that I put this hat on when I am scared of facing the world, and then I can face the world.
Tonight, I wanted to take steps toward my new year’s resolution by interacting in the HowToADHD discord, which I’ve been in for over a year but I’ve always found super overwhelming. Why? Because I find nearly everything overwhelming.
I ended up having a great long conversation with someone about Avoidant Personality Disorder and we ended up both making each other feel way less alone. And I was only able to do this because my husband came into my office while I was working up the nerve, noticed I was freaking out, and handed me my llama hat.
I know there are plenty of people who’d probably look at this post and think I’m joking or think it’s silly that a grown woman would need this hat so much. But this stupid hat means the absolute world to me. It is an instant source of comfort when I’m scared of interacting with people or handling a task that makes me anxious like cleaning my office. This hat makes my life better by chilling me out whenever I put it on. No matter how old you are, sometimes you need your teddy bear or your security blanket, whatever form it takes. For me it’s the hat.
So thank you for selling this hat, Dan. Maybe it’s part of your dead brand but the fact that I have one has made my life better in clear and observable ways.
And thank you, llama hat, for being a dutiful loyal friend whenever i’m freaking myself out.
He has his grandfather's hat!! Dabisnotonfire ladies and gentlemen
I went to the doctor the other week and this was in the grocery next door to the clinic. I was momentarily deterred since it was labeled as a kid's size, but apparently I am both a child at heart AND at head. c:
