I mentioned this last night and the previous gig but have we established who Heinrich, Gerard's emotional support skull is yet?

See, I'm kind of wondering if he's actually The Gentleman.

If you go down the Hamlet route (I've seen a couple of theories that that is something that's being referenced with the gigs) Yorick (of "Alas poor Yorick" fame) was someone from Hamlet's youth. A "Man of infinite jest."

It's flimsy but Gerard has mentioned that the Gentleman was someone he knew from prison (in past tense). It could mean that he was released or moved elsewhere, or the band has been moved but he could have died as well. The Gentleman could be seen as someone who is a man of infinite jest; as Gerard's character keeps talking about people laughing in the Mama part of the show.

And, in the Count of Monte Cristo (forgive me if I'm wrong here, I've only read the wikipedia so far as I can't get the book from the library yet) Edmond Dantès makes a friend in prison after 6 years of solitary confinement until the Abbé Faria accidentally digs an escape tunnel into his cell. The Abbé Faria helps Dantés figure out who caused his imprisonment and mentors him until he dies and Dantés takes his place in his burial sack in order to escape.

Maybe the Gentleman taught Gerard's character the song, gave him what he needs to break out (eventually) of the reconditioning and will hopefully mean they'll get their revenge on The Grand Immortal Dictator.

I don't know. Just spitballing and wanted it down somewhere so I can go back to it at some point.
