Maomao is really trying to use her girlfriend privileges to get rid of him.

Unfortunately for her, work mode Jinshi is much more pragmatic than boyfriend Jinshi.

I really love how open Maomao has become and how she’s no longer afraid to voice her feelings. In the past she would’ve thought all of this, but never said it out loud.

First he pets her like a dog now this. Jinshi, your girl is a CAT, not a dog.

Jinshi really is dealing with children here. There’s no worse combination of people to be put together than these 3.

Starting book 15 and thinking about something. Everybody talks about how much Jinshi works and how this could be bad for his health, including the story itself. But I don't see enough people talking about how much Maomao works A LOT too, especially after becoming an assistant physician.

I've been asking myself how they both handle this and just hit me, they're in their early 20s, I did the same in their ages, before burnout ran over me. I guess it's really hard to convince someone that just because they can do it doesn't mean they should.

I love this. Gyokuyou and her girls were probably among the few people outside of her family who showed Maomao kindness and respect at the time. Definitely the first nobles to do so.

It’s very understable why Maomao feels so loyal to them.
