"Silk Chiffon" by MUNA: 12/10. it gets the extra two points for making me feel 20% gayer--whenever I encounter a Really Good queer song it makes me feel even more queer than I am on an everyday basis and that's kind of delightful. i'm going to be listening to this a lot.
(also i listened to this on spotify first but watched the video when i grabbed the link and OMG the but i'm a cheerleader homage!! also the nod to the miseducation of cameron post, which was my very first 2020 movie pick. and the gay elders at the bar! i'm obsessed.)
"Thoughts" by Sasha Alex Sloan: 10/10. this is a really good song and i think i might've heard it before, maybe through the spotify algorithm. it's just super relatable for me, as i'm the most always-thinking, overthinking, head full of thinking person i know. i should check out more from this artist.
"For me it's you" by Lo Moon: 11/10. I love this so much and I love the SOUND so much, I'm absolutely looking up the rest of their music. It's like...epic pop, but also chill. And as soon I hit the line "I'm just waiting for the moment when you tell me that it's true" my hopeless romantic heart swooned.
The vibes of the first three might be similar, but they're also just my style! So thanks for that :D
"Movin Right Along" by Alkaline Trio: 9/10. LOL definitely different! i love rock and punk covers so much though. this one is very fun.
