Local?
Went to a new coffee shop in my hometown and it was so refreshing! New but still kept the vintage ceilings and flooring. Good drinks, friendly staff. Loved it
Saturday, Saturday, Saturday ...
Went and voted yesterday up in the community hall of a small village. Not a place I go to very often. The only people I've ever seen up there are other people who've driven up to vote or use the recycling bins.
Makes me think of Royston Vasey from the League of Gentlemen. A local place for local people ... except ... you never see the locals. The local shop is always closed ... the church car park is always empty ... and there's never a face at any of the windows of the houses.
It's like driving into a film set. Gives me the vibes of Vivarium. Definitely not somewhere I'd go once night has fallen.
There's one house for sale up there ... the usual bungalow set in a sea of tarmac, concrete and gravel ... not a blade of grass in sight, not a tree to sit beneath, not one iota of warmth coming from the place.
Any takers? ;-) ...
